guys i think the lesson we all got from this thread today, is that Switch is for Mario and Donkey Kong, PS5 and Xbox for the call of duty / MLB / anything serious

I’m playing on a switch and yes cross play is turned on. Why do you ask that?
Probably because your on an inferior (nothing wrong with the Switch but it doesn't match up to a PS or Xbox) console and you're playing online vs someone that's probably on a new gen console. At minimum they're in a PS4/Xbox One.
And chances are you're Switch is running on wifi.
I'm afraid to ask about hitting and pitching interface, especially the hitting!
No offense to this dude; but he's made at least three posts about how bad of an experience hea having with online play. And I thought I griped a lot.
You do. And you write war and peace length novels when you do.

i have the switch too - its great for mario and those games - like other guys have said here the ps5 and xbox are superior systems for this kind of game

No need to bash him. Maybe that’s what was bought for him. I stopped buying Nintendo ages ago. Let him enjoy his baseball game. Poor kid is playing in the majors with A ball equipment and might not be his choice. If he plays others with the Switch he should be fine.

There is a guy I get matched up with sometimes in the forever event and he destroys me every time. In about 8 games my only hit was a broken bat single. You would have think I hit a walk off grand slam the way I reacted.
That's why I don't interact online. Too many people are either toxic or emotional, and sometimes I get really upset with myself if I make foolish outs or look particularly bad on a swing.
Most of the time I recognize it as me being bad, or the other guy being good, but everyone goes on tilt. Some more than others.
