Call ups

Is it possible to call up players that are in the minor leagues in MTO? I am doing a Cubs one and a bunch of major leaguers like Brandon Morrow are in the minors.

Players can get a call up notification during MTO. I decline all callups now as they usually want to bring up a pitcher and the last thing I want is to pitch 9 innings with a subpar pitcher lol

Unfortunately no. Two or three time per year you get a call up screw similar to the trade screen. That’s all I’ve seen. And like the post above, I’ve only seen pitchers.

That’s terrible, I thought that was going to be an option this year in this mode. I got Syndergaard in a trade and he’s in the minors since he’s injured in real life. Thank you for answering!

I would report that to sds in an email. That is pretty annoying and doesn’t make sense. I’m sure if you did the Mets MTO you would get to pitch with him. At least I hope so. It might not make any difference in your run, but they might fix it for future runs. Hopefully, he’ll get called up in September.

Traded for Franmil Reyes, had 35 HRs and 100 RBIs for me but the CPU sent him to minors in middle of the year and then for playoffs...

NOPE. Since you can't load your own rosters and stuck using whatever SDS has loaded. You don't get to use Thor in MTO. It's extremely annoying. I don't get why they won't give us full control. I paid for the [censored] game, let me play how I want.
If I want to load a team full of all stars and see how well I can do, let me. If I want to call up a player. I should be able to. I wanted to call up D Smith to the Mets. Do I have the option? Of course not.

Do the callups. Especially if you try to use a scrub team like the Mariners. I called up a 60 starting pitcher named Kirby. Got his bonus and am dominating with him. He’s 10-0 as a starter for the season so far.

hopefully they make a change to allow you to control call ups. There’s guys in my minor league system that i’d much rather have at the big league level
