I was having a lot of trouble completing these at first but have been completing them now. Some tips I can say is the failures actually help you get used to the pitchers you’ll see and that’s a big help. Bunt runners over every time to stay out of double plays. Helps a lot<
Completed the Charisma Showdown last night on the 4th try when I beat every other one this year on first try. I always think about bunting runners over and don’t for some reason. It’s a good strategy especially if you need one run and know you can at least fly out twice while moving the runner each time.
The Diamond bunt cheese perk and fast players does wonders in Showdown. Not my preferred way to play a game but it seems to work ok. If you try to bunt runners over with a drag bunt and diamond bunt cheese your odds of everyone being safe are pretty good

I have completed 4 of 6 Affinity Showdowns and a couple other programs but am struggling with Charisma which I really want to complete just to obtain Harrison and Cruz. I am almost resigned to getting them by the repeat of 5000 point missions. Time & patience will prevail.

The Charisma showdown sucks. I don't usually have a problem with Showdowns but I just failed for the 3rd time on this one.

I actually like Showdown. Patience is definitely key (if you struggle with hitting.)
Not everything should be easily attainable, but yeah i do..ya know..feel bad for those who have tried to be patient & still cant get the hits they need

I really need some serious help.
I've struggled with all the showdowns this year. I've only completed TA Central, and that took far too many tries for my liking. For Charisma I've probably entered 100 times (not joking -- I've failed plenty of times at Boss 1) and I'm so desperate that I've actually switched to Timing hitting just to try to beat it. Unfortunately I'm not doing much better.
I'm not a Show rookie anymore and I've dealt with my fair share of tough showdowns. I never beat Extreme in 20 but I did get Pearson way over 200 pitches on many of those tries. I'm not the best at being patient but I understand the concept in the mode.
What seems to be bothering me lately with all the tries I've attempted on charisma is that I'm not getting any reward at all on good contact and waiting for the right pitch. This seems to be the case whether I've attempted it in Zone, which I use all the time, or my recent (yesterday and today) attempts with Timing. In other words, the whole mode feels unbeatable when I get a perfect with Trout using Zone and it's caught on the track or a good timing (with Timing hitting) and I swing and miss somehow! It's bewildering and I'm astounded that I'm failing this many times at something I've always been able to get past eventually before.
Clearly it is beatable, plenty of you have done it already, but man, I feel snakebit right now. I'm at 50 points (no point doing the Harrison PXP yet when I need the Showdown points now) and it feels ironic that the Albies card is at 80 points and that's the one I really want.
Obviously I'm prepared for some kickback on my lack of skill. I get that, I'm clearly not even as good as I thought I wasn't, if that makes sense. I'd love some advice on whether I should just forget attempting it on Timing and keep playing Zone. I've been a Zone hitter since late in the cycle of Show 20 -- I started Directional when I bought 20 but it was clearly not a great way to hit online, so I gave it up pretty quickly. I found Zone hard but I stuck with it and yesterday was the first time I switched hitting modes since I moved to Zone.
My temptation to keep trying with Timing is that some of the bosses can be beaten a bit more quickly, but the Kelly moment with only 6 outs has killed me every time. I think the RNG in Timing is costing me with so few outs as he's not hung a meatball for me yet.
Thanks for any thoughts on this. I love Ozzie Albies cards and don't really want to give up on this, but at the same time, I'd love to keep being able to play the other parts of the game too! I have limited time to play the game with full time work, and being this stuck on this pivotal Showdown is sort of painful.
Appreciate any thoughts!

I was struggling with Chafin, so I went to SZ Offset. Try all the SZ cams in BP, to see what feels best. Even set up a team with all the pitchers you have trouble with. I have them on the Texas Rangers and do BP on HOF and Legend. It helps a lot. Kelly's curve is a motha, but practice will help a lot.
Good luck!
In the early rounds, before you get better players for advancing, take the Commons with 70+ speed. Sometimes you'll get one with 90+ speed!
I'm no expert, but I'm good at lineup management. Don't hesitate to pinch run for a player if he makes it to first. Even if he's your best batter. Only in large out situations will you get back to their spot in the batting order. They're just salivating, waiting for you to hit into a double play!
Also, try to do them in increments. I never did it that way, but a poster here suggested it. I beat the first 2 bosses, then came back 3 days later to finish, which I did. Choose players you always hit well with. I never used Charisma Ozzie Smith, but something said draft him! He homered off Chafin to win that mini-boss battle. He also stole a key base in another. Use the R2 extra lead trick, but always take the first pitch, because they know if you have a 90+ speed guy on!
Take the 'Bunt cheese' Perk. I didn't have to use it, but I had it ready. The exit velo ones are important as well. -
Thanks so much, that's all great advice. I hadn't thought of the batting views experimentation and will try that before I do it again. Completely agree on the speedy pinch runners, I use that strategy often! Appreciate this greatly. Fingers crossed I'll get this done.

I came back and tried. Got to the third one Brian Wilson and was trying to be patient and take pitches. Got behind 0-2 most of the batters. I grounded into 2 double plays and struck out most of them. I’m not spending anymore stubs on it.

Showdown ain’t that bad and I suck at the game. I’ve been able to complete e wry showdown on the first attempt so far. Granted, I got down to my final 5 outs on one, but overall it’s pretty easy!
-
I enjoy just playing various game modes and switching it up regularly to gain PXP. I despise showdowns whether they take 1 attempt or 10 attempts. To me they are not fun at all.
-
The biggest frustration in Showdown to me is that the exit velo seems nerfed, even with the perks. Also where is that old perk with the rocket on it. (massive exit velo boost). I also get frustrated with the CPU spiderman defense, and any showdown with 6 or less outs to score a run with no one on base.
