This game sucks. I’m tired of seeing the same exact teams online. Every team has the exact same 99 players and 95% of the cards are unusable. 99s foul everything off then hit automatic homers anywhere in the zone.

They are only mandatory if you want to complete the program. No participation trophies just for showing up. Earn it.
Why can’t u earn it just a different way? Sds said play the game as u want showdowns are not what I want

Making 5000 pxp repeatable is not an easy way… that’s a lot of time put into the game and again they said earn it your way but it’s not
It is though. Theres absolutely zero challenge in getting 5000 pxp. You could play and actually LOSE every game and still get pxp. That is a literal participation trophy.
Thats SDS saying "We're not gonna make you work for the best cards in the game...we're gonna make you WAIT for them!! But you'll get them eventually."

If you want to complete a Showdown to get 30pts; then play Showdown. If someone wants to grind for 30K in pkp, which can take a lot longer that doing a showdown, then that's on them.

Yeah. I'm not arguing with you. I agree Showdown should be optional.
I know just going to support with u … this year seems more than the last 3 years I played that I won’t be able to get cards without playing showdown very frustrating

Spend 90% of my week grinding for new cards and only 10% playing ranked with those new cards.Decided this year to not do that. I’m only grinding the monthly’s which isn’t so bad this year
To get the massive 99s I got no chance. And have no desire too. I’m not a fan of this route with the sets being locked in. It’s, just like Fifa causing everyone to pretty much get the same team early doors.

I'd say it is probably because people have different ideas of what fun is and also have different ways of how they have fun with this game. People play the game for different reasons just like some people play DD and some play other modes exclusively. If your mind is blown by such a simple concept, I feel bad for you!

I can't speak for OP, but myself I prefer offline simply because while part of my problem is I am a weak online hitter, I only end up with seemingly 2 types of games:
Game A - 800 or better player who completely destroys me in every way possible and I am totally demoralized by 3 innings and quit.
Game B - an extremely toxic player who bunt dances, base path dances, bunt cheeses with every player, has a team full of 99 speedsters playing way out of position and pauses non stop every time I start showing I can beat them.
I had some games last week where I won and lost games against normal people and was able to play all nine innings and was not upset at the losses and not sky high after the win, but those are very rare for me. If there was a way I didn't have to play online ever again and get all the cards I would do it in a heartbeat.
When 99% of a person's games are unplayable for the above reasons they start to either get frustrated or stop playing.

If he paid for them; that's his choice. If you're that concerned about not having what everyone else has then either grind for it or buy it. If you don't want to do either; that's also fine. But don't complain that others are taking the initiative to do such just because you don't want to yourself.
Do you also complain about someone working 70+ hrs a week so they can afford to take their family on a nice vacation?

Capped mode and/or matchmaking based on OVR rating. Not hard to fix.
