Tired of showdowns being mandatory

Agree. Nothing about The Show that I hate more than wasting several hours and couple thousand stubs trying to get through a showdown. I'm fine just not finishing programs though. I'd rather just miss out on a few rewards than put myself through all that irritation. There are plenty of great cards that are easier to earn in other game modes. Maybe I do a showdown if one of my favorite players is a reward but otherwise I leave that stinking showdown mess alone.

I rarely ever touch that awful mode, SDS is a bit out of touch on some things. That being one of them

Moments are irritating too, but at least they cycle quick, aside from the pitching ones.

Made it to Chafin. Hit 8 consecutive 98 - 102 mph at'em balls. Just a ridiculously abysmal mode that is just an incredible time sink. I'll end up playing EA PGA for a while or something as I don't like Showdowns whatsoever anyway. I'm usually impatient in trying to get them out of the way but actually took my time on this one to avoid HAVING to play something I really don't care to play all over again. Waited out pitches. Dude had no energy. At'em balls the entire round. Frustrating mode to play for the time you invest in it.

Wow. Not home. What a bad decision. I failed the WBC one 3 times this week, and I always find a way to beat these.
I'll try a few times, but won't rack my brain with this mode.
The concept of SD is great, but some things that defy logic happen as if they don't want you to succeed.
I'll wait until I'm off next week and at least try. I mean, beating these are better than making love....well, that's a stretch, but you know the exhilaration of winning.
What's worse, is they canned the celebration animations when you beat these f-ers!! -

Thats correct, i did the showdown on my first attempt, it's really not that bad. I promise. It's that or miss out on the O'Neil Cruz amongst others.

NOTHING should be a requirement. They don’t live up to the “play how you want” mantra they love to mention. It’s more play how you want, as long as what you want is to be required to play how we ask, and what we ask is that you play every mode.
They can’t make fun content and haven’t been able to for years. They just get a 12 year old to throw [censored] at a wall call it a conquest map and give you 50% progress towards a card.
I can’t imagine how many room temp IQ brains were needed to make that Easter egg hunt.

Pitchforks are out. The people have spoken.
What bugs me is the WBC program is kind of a Forever one, but we're forced to beat it by beating Showdown. That's poorly thought out. -
I agree with the 5k repeatable mission and the idea of play how I want this year has definitely gone out the door

5k PXP is worth 4 points.
Showdown is worth 30 points.
That 5k PXP mission took me 6 conquest games, roughly 15 minutes a game, let’s say an hour and a half.
The showdown took about an hour.You would need to repeat the PXP mission 7.5 times, or, roughly 11.5 hours of gameplay to equal the program points from completing one showdown.
I’m doing the showdown.

Some of us don’t have success doing it so let us choose how we get it done I don’t play online so I want the card because I like completion
