Multiple Player Frustration
-
Why is it that when I create a new player, save that player, then load the original player the name, stats and perks revert to the newest player created? Is there a way around this or is it bad programming?

When you "quick activate" (On Switch, press A to start) RTTS, it will load the most recent save overall and whatever ballplayer you have listed in the upper corner.
So if your most recent save is for "Bob", but you have your first player, "Fred" loaded in the upper corner, it tries to shoehorn "Fred" into "Bob's" game.
You can override this by pressing the "more options" (switch: Y) button to start RTTS, then pick "load sacved game" and whichever player's game you'd like to load.
And if you plan on spending a solid amount of time on your "older" character, perform a manual save from the settings tablet in the clubhouse. That will put the active save "on top" of the stack, making it the default save for the quick loader.

Thanks for the advice but that did not work for me. I am playing on a PS4 Pro. I created Bob (a 1B) to run an experiment. I saved Bob with the save menu accessed in the clubhouse. I exited out of the game. Back in the main menu I loaded Fred (a CF). On the PS4 you press the button with the square. Fred's name was now Bob and Fred's overall 70 with 4 perks was now a 63 with 2 perks, but he is still in AAA with the same team he was with before I created Bob.

Try a reset between the two.
I had to do a reset on switch to get the game to recognize that I was on the sliver power archtype.

You need to change the player in two spots.
Main screen upper left and RTTS with the square button load the career.

From what I'm getting out of his story:
Started with Fred, CF.
Built Bob, 1B. Saved him. (question: is this a new start on a different team?)
Reset game, loaded Fred the CF. Square-buttoned into the game...And found "Bob" with his Bronze 63 on "Fred's" AAA save...
Almost like since the machine booted up with Bob in the upper-left, even though it was changed to Fred, it still had Bob in RAM when the save was loaded.
OP, try this: After playing Bob on Bob's save, switch to Fred on the main menu then reset the system. After that reset (with Fred as the first loaded character), see if loading Fred's save puts Fred in the game.
I had something similar to this happen to me yesterday. Chugged through the Bronze power-archtype. Loaded up the Silver one, but wasn't getting progression - was catching on to this after 2 games, but the third one, where I got some in-game stars that didn't "take", sealed it for me. Restarted system, progressed normally since then.
Almost like the game still "thought" (had in RAM) that I was on the Completed Bronze track even though I selected to be on the Silver track... But after a reset that caused the silver track to be read into RAM first, it worked normally -
This issue started in 22 when they tied the online bs into RTTS. Before last year this was not an issue, but this is what I have found to work.
When creating a new player, ensure it is selected in the top corner. Go no further, exit the game, restart it to ensure the new player is selected, and
continue with player creation and draft.RTTS should be a separate mode like it has been for over a decade, it is a money grab to get people to buy cards.

Thank you, everyone, for your help in this matter. Tandil1368, your suggestion worked for me, thank you.
