Mini Seasons vs Conquest

What is the difference between these 2 modes? Both are single player DD farming modes, Both say they are competitive and are 3 inning games.
Yet it is 100% easier to hit in Mini Season games.
WHY?

In conquest I absolutely struggle with hitting Homeruns this year compared to last couple years.
But I Just started my first Mini season and I am hitting Homeruns like I expected to from years pass. My mini season team is no where near as good as my conquest team, and the Pitchers I face in Mini Seasons are higher quality pitchers then the ones I face in Conquest games.

One would think mini seasons would be more difficult with the better rosters.
Maybe you focus more against the better competition, or we cause I experience this too sometimes

Stadiums in mini seasons seem smaller than most pro stadiums to me
