Batter's Clutch Attribute Questions
-
If a batter's Clutch attribute rating is lower than his Contact rating, is the Contact rating then lowered to the Clutch rating? and Does the Clutch attribute activate with a runner on 1st, or is it only with RISP?
-
Clutch activates for hitters when there are RISP. Can’t remember what activated pitcher clutch
And yes, if the clutch attribute is active, and lower than the contact attribute, the clutch attribute still acts as your contact attribute

Pitcher clutch activates with RISP too.

I feel like "clutch" should do so much more. Like bottom of 9th and two outs in a one run game is "clutch" IMHO and the stats should reflect that situation as well. Not all big situations occur with someone on base.

It’s still a pretty nice addition. And honestly a bit more useful even it not as accurate. How often will you benefit from a boost in a close game in the final inning? I’m yet to experience that. Honestly it should do both because it’s a great dynamic to add to the attributes and usefulness of them. That’s one thing SDS always gets right IMO. Clutch has needed a more purposeful effect for a while.
