Bro give a break to SDS remember they are dealing with the Coronavirus virus too.

Oh stop. They obviously have time for cash grabs. They have time to fix their game. They really just need to stop dropping unpolished games. But i get it, capitalism.

Something tells me editing code of a game isn’t something that can be done from a home laptop..

Also, I’m glad I’m one of the chosen lol

It's almost like pressing a button to release a player that you fill in a template for is easier than changing the game's code

    Nahhhhh lol

You're telling me putting out patches isn't more difficult than releasing say, a Joe Carter

Clearly releasing Joe Carter takes sooo much more work than patches and they just don't want to put in the work to do the easy thing and patch *shrug

I said the exact opposite Skepple 🥺

I know I was being facetious

What’s up with your defense of SDS? Why are you so against admitting they aren’t doing the best job right now?
A company shouldn’t release a game for 60-100$ that isn’t polished and complete. That’s just bad business, but due to the fact that SDS has zero competition they can get away with it. Without a doubt in my mind they have the technology to implement a patch from home. They see the easy route, release new cards and idiots will buy thinking it will make their experience better. A card that cost more than the game should not be missing routine fly balls.

Fielding needs to be fixed for sure but we finally have a good quality game at the plate which is the most important thing for me and people are crying because the game is too hard for them and they want it patched, do whatever they need to fielding to fix it I’m cool with that but don’t touch hitting.

I don’t get what that means? If your trying to brag about winning in RS a lot, you’re bragging to the wrong guy. I’ve been top 100-200 last 3 years. Most games I don’t need to be “chosen”
This post wasn’t about hitting though. It’s about the fielding. I’ve lost a few long BR runs because of balls hitting my CF in the face and not attempting to catch the ball. The animations have been atrocious. That’s never been in the show. Why now?

Fielding needs some tweaks sure, you said the game picks and chooses who to reward, I’m thankful I’m one of the chosen that’s all

Well that can’t be true, I stink AND lose! How many packs did you buy before they ascended you?

    10 Million dollars worth...

Shoot (lame swear I know but everything here gets bleeped) just short because of the quarantine

Testing is automatted these days in a lot of ways. Software developers are asked to test now more than ever. If they can simulate a swing timing window and PCI location they can track and ultimately modify the result. I think they tested a bunch. I just believe that testing baseball games are tough when there is as many input/outputs based of player stats verses opponent player stats.

there's just too must little thing wrong with the game right now. I don't understand because they should have just built on last years game which wasn't so bad, minus the line outs. I cant count how many games 'lost because of the ball hitting my outfielders face or the glitch where he runs in circles not locking on to the incoming ball. I've played over 180 ranked games and its just frustrating at times. The hitting is another issue that seems to have just started after the patches , because it was fine at the beginning of the game imo. I just lost a game in the 10th after i hit a perfect perfect line out with trout and the guy hit a walk off early ok hr..... wtf is that????

And yet here we are on version 1.07. So they could release 6 patches without issue, but the Coronavirus prevents them from releasing the one that actually fixes the real issues? Yeah, I’m not buying it, sorry. If they were able to jack up the sliders for swing timing after opening weekend they could just as easily change it back. They said they’re monitoring data blah blah just like every other year. They didn’t say we are unable to work on these issues due to COVID-19, they said [censored] you we don’t care if you’re enjoying the broken game or not, because we already have your money now, suckers.

Can you provide a reference for that last quote? I don’t remember reading that in an interview.

@Red_Ted_is_back No, because I completely invented it. SDS, of course, actually said nothing about the state of gameplay. Much like every other year.

Sure it can, this ain't 1998. Code dev can be done on most smartphones these days lol.

You're not a software developer by trade, are you?

I am. Which is why I find your statement beyond laughable.

I hire devs and most are remote. Probably 90%

Yea I have to agree with the caronavirus stuff. I work in health care and it took my a second to stop and be like Oo yea they don’t have a job that’s considered essential so they are probably not able to get into the office where they might to more patching and talking together. Do I think they could still do a lot of this from home? Absolutely. But do I think we all need to just realize it may take till after April 30th or when these bans get lifted to get some better patches. I have my moments of getting mad but end of the day it’s just a game, non of us are making money off of it, so take a breath and wait. We have months of gaming to come. Just a two cents thought

I think the main thing is.. we just haven’t heard them say anything about it!! It’s not that hard to get on here and tell your customers that we hear you and we will get to work on it as soon as we can get back to the studio!! If they did that I bet half the people here including me would stop being so nit picky

Do they all work on the same projects? Do any game development? Not having a go, I’d genuinely like to know more.

    This.
The only thread I’ve seen a dev reply to so far this entire year was a guy that was having trouble buying stubs. Not one word from anyone about all the bugs in this game. They dropped a patch that supposedly fixed the OF glitches, but that’s not even close to true. A simple word that they are working on it would be great. Honestly though, this game is 100$. It shouldn’t be this broken.

SDS has 24/7 access to their servers. Cornavirus locdowns in california are not affecting anything they can do with patches. I think they are happy with the current state of hitting which is why we haven't had a hitting patch in almost 2 weeks

No worries, not all the same projects, and some do game simulation for the govt on flightsims. My neighbor is a dev for EA or actually Tiburon and he works the EA golf and basketball games not Madden, he literally goes in to the office like 1 or 2 times a month at most.
