Potentially unpopular opinion

I am really enjoying the game this year. One of the best MLB launches since I’ve been playing. But I have one potentially wildly, wildly unpopular opinion.
I’m over the WBC, guys.
I loved watching the games, and having the program to welcome us at launch was cool. But it’s over. It’s over. Just dump the rest of the WBC cards you have on deck and let’s move forward with MLB content.
I think part of the problem is that I am still slogging through the WBC program. I haven’t made much of a dent in TA because my lineup is all WBC dudes to complete those missions. And we keep getting new WBC packs or WBC cards in the new Headliners thing. I don’t know. It feels like we’re spending too much time looking at our high school yearbooks. Let’s move on.
I’m selling my WBC Yu Darvish so I can buy FS Corbin Carroll. Let’s gooooooo!

absolutely mate - on a flip side perspective - the WBC for me was amazing to finish america conquest - and the rewards basically made me finish 95% of the NL collections because of it - i stayed away from anyting that is a "Set" card - sold all of those - and i am swimming here baby waiting for the next updates

Ill be real. I was never interested in WBC, IRL or in this game. I guess its good becuase its content and stuff to do, but man, im just not interested in WBC either , never have been. It is alot easier to do though over the TA grind

I totally agree with you. The wbc cards are pretty awesome but I’m kinda wanting to use more live series and legends. Not to mention, the grind to get Trae turner is excessive.

True! Loved it all! But, only 10 days into the game, I'm over it. This would have been a nice "mini" program.

I too am enjoying this year's version. One thing bugs me however. I play both sides using the strikezone view. So I always can see if a runner is at second. I don't recall a baserunner window always being visible in previous versions. The problem is that my brain is trained to think that if I see that window then there is a runner at first. So I've been burned a few times by going for a force out when there is a no runner. I turn the baserunning windows off but now I cannot see where runners are when the ball is in play. Anyone else notice this and, if so, have you figured out a way to only have the baserunning windows visible for runners on the corners?

The WBC gave me Murakami. Now I can consistently hit PP tanks to the warning track. I am forever grateful.

There hasn't been a single WBC card in Dynamic Duos outside of the very first one.
I doubt there'll be very much more WBC content going forward.
A. They've released most of the big names already.
B. Now that the season has started, we'll have Topps Now, POTMs, debuting Prospects/Future Stars, Milestones, etc. WBC filled the early-season void.I suspect you'll continue to see WBC packs hidden in Conquest maps, Bonus Wheels, MiniSeasons mystery rewards, etc. Soon enough, it'll be Quick Sell fodder.

Yup, sold my Mike Trout to get more cheaper S1 cards...I love the WBC, but i don't need all these FA diamond cards that don't fit anywhere other than the WBC program...at least a few can be used in team builds, but there's way to many. And I bet the same people that love these cards, are the same ones that have an unrelenting hate towards the Future Star/Prospect cards of the past

The Show Dev Team: We've changed things up so that everyone doesn't play with the same squad anymore
Everyone: Loads squad up with WBC players
Edit to add... I feel like this year more than ever, a week into the game I see the same players almost every single game. I expect that as the game progresses but not already.

Yes! I have had this exact same issue. I also wish we could see our hitter’s stats by holding R2 like we could in previous years. I love the changes to the mechanics this year but I think some of the UI updates took a step back. The good news is that those things should be easy to fix in future patches if we are vocal about it.

If you didn't know you can see this by hitting Right on the D-Pad, but agreed, it's not the same. Preferred it with R2...I keep spamming it against the CPU out of habit from last year when it wouldn't always pop up right away and keep getting picked off. LOL

I agree. Havent used any of them since I completed that program like the 2nd day of early release.

I did not know that — thank you!
Just gave it a whirl and I think that’s only showing me the hitter’s attributes (contact, speed, power, etc). I like seeing his statistics (batting avg, hrs, rbis, etc). I don’t know why I like seeing those numbers but it gives me a sense of accomplishment (or shame. Usually shame.)

Ok but how many dynamic duo packs have there been? Three? It’s not super convincing to say “there hasn’t been a single WBC card in Dynamic Duo packs except for 33% of them.”

This 100x.
All I see in Ranked games is WBC cards. Mix in 1 or 2 of the top 97 or 99 cards. Maybe a top notch Live Series card. 1 in 5 games I see Buck O'Neil Captain for the bonus.
Lineup variety is non-existent this year.
Every time I load into a game and see my opponents lineup, all I see is that ugly godforsaken WBC card art in 80% of more of their lineup slots.
I'm seeing the same squads more than EVER. If this was honestly a GOAL. it's been a huge failure. Sick and tired of playing Santander, Trout, Murakami, Lindor, Marte, Arozarena, Kondoh, Jung-hoo Lee, Urias, and Alonso.

This is so dumb, it’s a WBC themed event, which cards did you expect to use? Friday will bring a new event, there you’ll see different cards.

Early Access was March 23 at midnight.
So almost 2 weeks now.
First off, it's not about the cards to come. It's about playing the SAME cards every game! And it's not because there aren't a TON of cards. This is the most early content ever.
But when you make almost all of those other cards worthless by releasing what are basically End Game cards in the WBC set...that's what happens.
It was a horrible idea when they talked about it. And it's horrible now. It's actually worse than I expected. And I don't want to hear offline players defend it. Play online and you will see. Every team has the same 12 to 20 cards.
Without some type of new capped mode, they are just going to make everyone completely BORED of this game.
When every player has a 99...and 125s in certain categories, what does it even matter whose player model it is?
They've completely taken any kind of strategy to this mode out of it by listening to casuals who just want a team full of 26 99s running around hitting 8 HRs a game and playing like superhumans.
