With the new addition of Shohei Ohtani being allowed to pitch and DH in MLB The Show 23, it doesn’t appear that this is an option in Custom Leagues. Could this be updated? Would be appreciated!

There is a work around. But why has this not been fixed and implemented fully into leagues @CBrev47_MLBTS

Work around: sub ohtani from sp to bench then from bench to dh/ oh.

The issue is 1. He can’t dh when he pitches
2. I don’t know if his energy recovers

So it allows him to be a full time hitter at least but with some issues

So what’s the work around you’ve been using?

Step one: press x or. Square on him as a sp
Step 2 press x or square on a BENCH PLAYER.
Step 3. Pre x on him and swap him from bench to dh.

He has to stay as dh in depth chart. But in game you can move him to of when not pitching.

In pregame menus he will be in as dh and also listed as a 6th sp option.

Sometimes you need to keep clicking on him a few times on on the depth chart screen to move him
