Defensive animations still a major flaw and no urgency and terrible. Bunt cheesers bunt slow lazy throw to first such a joy safe almost everytime.

I love it so far. My only gripe, and it's a small one, is the ball-to-bat audio. Can be extremely soft/quiet one decently hit line drives and fly balls. The P/P audio and hard hit balls sound great.

I agree with most of your review, especially the frequency of perfect/perfect outs. If you haven't started The Negro League content yet, I'd chance that you'd change your review to a A++

I also agree that the Set 1 Rewards should be Core cards.

Yes!! I should’ve had added that to the nitpick section. Blows my mind that some people enjoy the wiffle ball Sound.

Where do those cards show up? Are they part of a collection at all? Don’t see a menu in DD with their cards at all.

The perfect perfect outs are felt more for people like me who aren’t that good however, I’m real baseball you can make perfect contact and hit right to someone and it happens more with teams having video and shifts. So I’m not too bothered by it even though I may get frustrated occasionally.

They are their own collection. Do the 8 storylines then you unlock 95 Buck O’Neil. Loving the Satchel Paige card though

Thanks, can you be more specific? I got satchel paige and I can add him to starting rotation, but where is the collection for him in the collection tab, do we get stubs and packs for getting them all? Do they count towards the set 1 Ruth collection?
In other words if I don't plan on using them in my lineup all that much, is there any benefits to the cards other than collecting dust in a non-existent binder?

Best upgrade of the game since MLB the Show 17.
I like that hitting is hard. It should be challenging to hit in the majors.
I am very much enjoying the gameplay advancements in this years game.
