DD conquest settings

For some reason when playing conquest games the game never loads my proper settings. Every game I have to change the settings to have the catcher call my pitches for me. Every other game mode uses my proper settings.
Is there anyway to get conquest to use my proper game settings? -
I believe it's forced off on Vet+. I could be wrong because last year you could use it on HOF.

makes no sense for it to be forced off, when I can just go into settings once game starts and switch it on.
Just seems to be something they added for no apparent reason other then to frustrate the player.
