Haven’t gotten to do much yet due to having to work today but in the Sets like set 1 for example once it switches to set 2 then the set one cards become unavailable to use online like in a ranked game but don’t disappear completely right?

Thats incorrect. You can use set 1 and 2 during Set 2 if that makes sense. Once set 3 comes you can only use set 2 and 3. You can carry over one card from a set thats expired though.

They’ve only announced the first 3 seasons but I would imagine they will roll it back like @SaveFarris_PSN described moving forward so it would look like like this.
Season 1- anything

Season 3- Set 2, set 3, core
Season 4- set 3, set 4, core
Season 5- set 4, set 4, core
EtcThat is my guess

Basically it’s a way to have high diamond cards all year in cycles so we can’t use the same cards all year but we’ll always have a God Squad or high diamond theme team. It’s a tad more complicated but I’m thrilled. This makes last year look like a joke.
You can already have a 99 Trea, Trout, Ohtani,
Instead of 1 big collection every few months there are 3. Plus bosses. I honestly think we have more content now than we did in the whole game by the All Star break last year.

I look at it as 5 or 6 (someone said when you look up sets it says 6) game cycles with end game cards each time. I mean we already have 99s for - Babe,Chipper, Pedro, Jeter, Sosa, McGuire, Trea, Trout, Ohtani, Gehrig, Miggy and many more. These are cards we usually wait all year for. And maybe they will get other 99s down the road but it feels like the game just renews every couple months with new god squad cards.

Offline will need to rotate as well for things like Conquest. Rotating sets sucks imo. I am definitely not spending stubs on Set 1 cards. If I get them fine, but people are spending 100's of thousands of stubs on cards that will rotate out. SDS obviously did this for more money, with keeping things fresh as a minor potential bonus. It feels like I am playing Magic the Gathering, Standard format. Wizards if the Coast does the same thing.
We need not ask for or need 95+ cards day one.
