PS5 75hz and 1ms ok???
-
I heard PS5 can’t do higher than 75 hz for The Show.
Is 75 hz and 1ms good enough? I’m looking at buying my 1st monitor for ‘23.
I know there have been a bunch of monitors post but new ones come out almost every week.
What monitor are you rolling with in 23? (PS5)
Thanks!

No, buy something that allows 120hz, with at least HDMI 2.0 (2.1 is the ideal)

This is wrong. I am running MLBTS at 4K 120Hz on my PS5.

Sorry but I truthfully believe it isn’t 120 even if it says it. This game engine isn’t designed to handle 120 fps. It may say 120 but I guarantee it’s still 60

Nope. The information comes from the monitor and the PS5. I just recently switched from 2K @60Hz and I can tell the difference.
I also recently obtained an Xbox X and it is also running the game at 4K @120Hz.

I just purchased a 42" LG C2 and it is an amazing step up from my Gigabyte M27Q. I received an email today that C3s are coming out soon...figures.

It will be 120hz at some point, why spend twice?
-
Thanks everyone.
I'll look at the 120hz and 1ms monitors for 2023.
I've seen higher than 120hz, is that for future MLB The Shows? i don't want to buy 120 right now and have to buy 150 next year.

Mlb the show is not at 120 fps. All you have to do is search what games play at 120 on a ps5 or Xbox X. The game is not 120 compatible and won’t be until they go strictly next gen.

42" C2 are a great price right now! Dont have new tech envy. The cheapest C3 will probably be like 1400 bucks. You definitely got the better deal. I got my C1 this time last year for cheaper. There isnt much difference in 1 year. Always the best time to buy.

My Xbox Series S is arriving tomorrow. I'm going to download the show 22 on gamepass and link it to my PS4 gamer tag.
This should allow me to have my full team and practice for a couple weeks, right?
What settings (if any) do I need to change on my monitor to make sure I'm getting the 120HZ speed? Is it 4K too?
I have the BENQ GL2450-B, and on the back it says "rating 50/60HZ" Does this mean I won't even get to utilize the full benefit of next gen console with this monitor?

That’s correct. Your monitor is 2K and can go as high as 76Hz. The game will more than likely run at 1080P @60Hz with that monitor. If you end up getting a new monitor, make sure it is 4K and has a 2.1 HDMI port. That way, down the line, you will be ready for 4K @120Hz. The S will go to 1440P @120Hz which is still 2K but higher than your monitor.
If you do go shopping for a new monitor, pay attention to the lag and response times. The lower the number the better. You can find most newer TV and monitor ratings at https://www.rtings.com/

The PS 5 or XBox X won't go over 120 FPS. You're safe until the next generation of consoles are produced.

Far as I know if the game doesn't support it then you are not getting above 60hz. Unless someone has a fps tracker on their monitor to prove it. What more games needs is VRR which would unlock the fps.
You can however decrease input lag dramatically with a monitor and plug in controller. I do have a monitor and noticed a difference but I like playing on the 65 inch LG which is pretty solid but has a little more il.
-
I have a 1080p 120hz monitor for my XBOX series S and it is locked at 120 fps with the exception of post game celebrations and highlight reels. It dips substantially during those.
-
I also have the same but but with the series X and noticed a difference but again how do you know it's locked at 120? Need some nerds to fully test this [censored] out.

I will post pics of mine later today. 4K @120FPS

Cool. I'm not calling anyone full of [censored] btw. If it's possible I might buy a new TV lol.
