I love offline DD but sets/seasons have never been my cup of tea hopefully it's not like 2K but it sounds a lot like 2k so far

I think it's 'Seasons.' The 5th season in there starts soon. The only thing that has my interest there is that there's a trophy for reaching level 40. I'm at about 18 and i consider myself casual for hoops. All I've been doing is REC room games. You can level up fast just doing those.
NHL has them as well, but all I really play is EASHL there. -

Seasons/sets and you being restricted to only using certain players depending on which season/set is available is not a feature I like

I not 100 percent sure but it think it's like NBA2K seasons like you described. Like if I play MUT right now, it says it's in season 3. And it has # of days left in the season. I haven't played NBA2K in years so if it's like that it must be same.

Yeah that sounds similar I just don't like players being limited to certain sets/seasons it feels to restrictive that's my main issue
