I don't understand how people add starters to their bullpen
-
I just faced someone who pitched Oswalt, Morton, and Chris Sale consecutively. For someone new to the game, who sucks at hitting, that was a challenge lol. I didn't know you could add starters to your bullpen, I think that's complete B.S.

It’s a terrible idea and people cheese that way. I was beating a dude with his Orel Hershiser card and after he got smacked around he brought in Kluber. Needless to say it turned the game into a boring pop out and strikeout fest

Whem you pull up your BP, hit R2. It takes you to your starters.
And are you sure it was LS Morton and not his RP Classics card?
But I do agree. With the option to choose pitchers now, and the way energy is regained, you only need a 3 man rotation.

When warming up a pitcher, hit R1 in your bullpen. You can now use starters as well.
The Morton card may have been a PS card from a couple years ago that was a reliever. -
You just press R1 and L1 in ur bullpen and you an bring in a starter. I think they need to make it like 3-4 innings for a starter to even come close to warmed up to counter this. And if brought in before warmed then they throw erratic and can’t place anything for an inning or two as they continue to warm. Just a thought I’ve had for years with people in 3 inning games never warming a guy up and they come in throwing darts perfect

I am glad they gave us the option to more freely use pitchers this year, and particularly getting to pick our starters. I just wish people wouldn't abuse this by continually running starters out there. I dont know what the answer is, but if we got to pick our starters and weren't able to bring in starting pitchers in relief, I'd be OK with that. But, there are circumstances where the ability to use starters out of the bullpen would be nice (a blowout game that you plan to finish and don't want to wipe out your bullpen or extra innings).

I did it once because my opponent had literally an all left lineup. So I brought in Christ Sale in the second inning.
But i agree, it needs to be taken out, or the starter brought in needs to have low, low, low confidence.
I had a great game going against a guy last night. He took an early lead but I was starting to get to his Roy Oswalt. 8th Inning comes and I’m down by 1 but starting to string together good at bats. He brings in 99 Kluber. It really just sucked the fun out of the game for me you know?
Sure enough, Kluber pitches two scoreless innings for the save.

A longer need for warmup with a higher penalty for using early is the easiest and simple fix. The fact u can put a pitcher in RP or SP and they come in perfectly fine throwing darts with no warmup is silly. Prob an overlooked thing by developers because they would assume ppl wouldn’t abuse the processes but it is a video game so people will always find a glitch to exploit the game. My opinion has always been twitch streamers are the downfall to all online games. Developers cater to them to keep them happy and they play so much they find the glitches and thus show ppl how to exploit. I always get a kick out of seeing something in a game so out of the ordinary for an opponent to do then more and more opponents are doing it so I check a few big streamers and of course they have started the Trend.

Wouldn't be an issue if they fixed the energy regen and penalized pitchers in the yellow and red with clear control and velocity deterioration.
As is the system is too broken.
