That’s how much my level has dropped in the last week or so. I’m playing guys in the 500s that have all batters hitting over 350 and I can’t hit. So, why are these guys at 500?

The real question is, who cares? It's February. The game is dead and has been for months. People don't give a darn about their rating or their record anymore, so they're most likely tanking to pound on some "less skilled" individuals.

I think going up and down 40-50 per game is stupid. I win two games in a row and I go fro 450-550. Like why? I just want to have a fair game. But giving up tanks on sliders 2 feet outside the zone after the guy fouling off 12 pitches before.

People aren't going to like to hear this, but it would help everyone out if we went back to everyone playing everyone and having only one pitch speed.

If you're abum at this game then constantly playing other bums isn't going to make you better.

Maybe it's just me, but back when I played Madden I'd take that 30 point asswhooping because I'd learn from it. I'd see what plays and defense they were calling and I would LEARN....

Seeing a good players pitch tunneling and plate approach would help lots of players if they paid attention.

This is true in online team play in NHL. I'm more of a playmaker, and can make almost any pass. It's the one area where I'm elite, lol. I'm just ok at scoring. That said, I play with randoms almost every game. When this happens, you run into God-like players who can score almost at will. This means, [censored]-kickings commence! Some quit out, but I stay as it raises MY game to another level. I'm a forward, but am great at defense, so I can keep some guys 'in check,' but will still get beaten. I once played with a guy who scored 6 goals. I was in amazement at how he found holes to score so many.
The point is, don't run away from beatings, let it make you better. I may finally try online here in '23, and will take my beatings, even though I think I'm good at pitching, but learn from them.

I loved NHL back in the day and then they introduced goalie fights. Think in 2013. Last year I played. That ECHL was great

Yeah, but I’m not on here to make it to WS and hit .500 and score 10000 runs a game. I want good competition. I don’t want to play at 300 level and sure as hell don’t want to play at 800. There is no enjoyment in gettting beat 10-0 with zero hits after 3 innings.

Did you limit the search rank? If not then you can hit either rookies or absolute goons (more common nowadays)

The skill level is a good thing. It helps competition for the pros (hitting at legend makes fun … for some people 🙂 ) . I progressed playing people at my skill level and constantly getting better

One more: The 22-game is almost dead. You almost never find common players. Limit your search rank and you‘ll eventually find some players at your skill rank. Otherwise: The 23-release is pretty close, more people are coming 🙂

I’ve been in favor of a universal pitch speed for years!!!

I’m guessing with the hype people are coming back and your running into high end players who’s ratings lapsed with not playing in a while.

You forget the absolute beginners, who benefit from slower speeds … to the goons, who absolutely love high-end competition.

Me personally: I started ranked in 21. At the beginning I had a hard time on veteran on going into all-star. As I progressed (that is dozens of games) I got into hall-of-fame … HOF for me is hard, but just right for competition. If the pitches were slower, that would be lost.

Legend is too hard, but it the shrinked pci is harder for me than pitch speed.

To me, a lot of my competition would be gone (and perhaps never existed), if there would be 1 pitch speed.

Conclusion: I think, the difficult system is perfect as it is
