You have to start a party. I would imagine constant trash talk from your opponent would be pretty annoying if in-game chat were a thing.
That's how many of us grew up playing. Madden, NHL, NBA Live, etc...
I actually miss not being to talk to my opponent during the game without chat. You could learn a lot depending on who you matched up with.
Nothing better than hearing your opponent get smacked by mom for cussing
I've never had a problem with the trash talk in any other sports game when im playing with friends but baseball requires a little more concentration than something like Madden or NHL
Hell im waiting for Undisputed to come out on console so i can start wrecking my friends online.
Heck, can't even get people to put a mic in to play COD these days. All I want to know is where you died. I don't care about nothing else.
I had some fun with DMZ on this last COD, met a few good randoms...then everyone wanted to start a party chat and talk about everything under the sun except what was going on in the game.
I always tell people that idgaf about your life story, im just trying to play a game. Small talk is fine but when chat lobbies turn into listening to a conversation between someone in the lobby and his gf sitting next to him on the couch complaining about her day or yelling at their kids, im out.

I haven't been to a little league game or high school game for a long time, but players were chirping the pitcher and batter all day when I played.
That's what we need online. We want a pitcher. Not a belly itcher....
I wouldnt be opposed to SDS adding hecklers in the crowd.

With all the sounds we have in the game we definitely should replace some with heckles and chirps....great idea

I use my headphones, to listen to music lol. I almost never listen to the game sounds when playing.

See, that's a setting you can actually turn off in your Playstation settings. So you won't get the notification for those invites popping up.
