I’m honestly not asking this to be a dbag but what was the point of announcing CBrev as community manager a while ago? Nothing against him specifically, he does great content. Was it just a publicity move to try and gain some fanfare? Is it more of a role starting in 2023? Is it more of an esports thing? They made this announcement like it was going to improve something for the community but there has been no increase in communication, if anything there has been less and I feel like they are
    Just underutilizing an asset.

I thought the same thing. He's great to watch, knowledgeable and engaging. Maybe they're just ramping him up for the 23 game cycle? I hope so.

I mean... it's been a burden on you and me to create all this riveting content ✍ ✍ ✍

When he became the CM, it was good for a couple of weeks, but that’s when communication stopped with SDS.

Only time will tell how they envision the role of community manager moving forward, but I did like the move initially. There's literally 0 communication from the current community manager, which is Ramone in case anyone forgot, and he is easily the worst community manager of all time because of the simple fact that he doesn't communicate a thing. So hiring CBrev and Ashley is at least acknowledging that change was needed.

And moves like this are always somewhat of a "publicity move". But it'll backfire if they don't turn out to be actual community managers who inform the community and make SDS as a developer more approachable. I'm definitely curious to see how it will unfold.

Did they actually hire CBrev? I was under the impression that he's just a liaison or moderator or something like that. Ashley, on the other hand, is on the Live Content team, so I hope that 23 reflects her input as both a player and content creator.

Also, I wasn't aware that Ramone was also a community manager. His title at SDS is Product Development Communications and Brand Strategist. I've never seen him post in the forum before, but then, I'm pretty new here.

CBrev himself said that he and Ashley will have a dual function of community manager. He said he was hired for his "dream job". So I assume he is on the payroll moving forward. But I guess we'll find out.

Ramone most certainly was the community manager for many years. And has never posted here on the forum. If you @ him on Twitter with some constructive criticism (emphasis on constructive, so not just sending hate and being toxic), you'll most certainly get blocked. One hell of a community manager huh?

That's what Ashley said too, but she said she was on the live content team.

    Only time will tell 🙂

Ashley is a specialist for live content (said it in her twitch stream and (I think) on twitter).

Cbrev is community manager. Ramone‘s role is doing communication on features … presenting stuff etc.. That is a total different role. A community manager manages Feedback from the community. Imo, Cbrev is more on inside stuff, trying to improve stuff. I am pretty sure, we will see Ramone in the preview vids

I love the thumbnails these grown ash men use in their YouTube clips.

How does that thought process go?

🤔 Am I going to post the high school girl who farted in class look?

🤔 Maybe the McCauley Culkin from Home Alone look?

CBrev is actually a very mature down to earth guy unlike most of them.

While I do find those thumbnails cringey I don’t think they would continue doing it if they didn’t see some sort of increase in views/subscribers. Plus who cares if the thumbnail is a monkey throwing feces? As long as the content is good make the thumbnail a pink goat smoking a J for all I care

They did this because their previous community manager said the quiet part out loud.

    "Working as intended"

I'm just an old man. I never understood watching a person play the game you have. I'm too busy playing it myself.

I can understand tips, but watching as a fan like it's a show?.....that ain't me

While I do understand your point, when I was feeling the need for some e baseball after being away from it since the early 00's I was watching to see if the games improved any, and Tmartin2 I think it was who was fairly tame compared to most.

He was doing the first year of RTTS for his followers. I found it interesting enough to go out and hunt down a new PS4 because 5s were literally impossible to find during COVID and by chance it came with 21, but I really didn't like it much, but I saw enough people saying 20 was better, and I switched to that.

Don't know if I will get 23 or not, because I still have a lot of stuff to do on 20 and some smaller stuff on 21.

I searched MLB The Show 23 on Twitter and came across Kyle's account. Looks like he's a degenerate gambler. That might be interesting to follow in real life....

Somebody needs to tell him that you can't upload content with broken fingers. I wish him luck

There definitely is. Some have their pants around their ankles for that content.
A lot of times, it's so-so players watching a good/great player tear ish up on the field I guess. 🫢

The guy is actually very good at the game and calls out it’s flaws in his videos. It would be incredibly stupid to dismiss someone simply because they are a “DD Streamer”. Yah plenty of streamers are idiots and egomaniacs but there are plenty that legitimately love and understand the games too.
