Has this horrid end to 2022 impacted your excitement for next season?
-
To be honest it has for me. Not sure if I care to play next year after they killed the game with four months to go.
-
There was no excitement to begin with. This game hasn't improved in 6 years, doubt next year will be any different. Will still play tho, because you know.. baseball.
-
No. I am still excited and I am really looking forward.
BUT: I do not like the endgame cycle of the game very much, because cards are too overpowered and lineup diversity is better in the first half since release.
But, you know … Baseball
-
I get excited every year because I love baseball not because I think the game is gonna be amazing. I go in expecting a fun yet sometimes frustrating experience when playing offline and a nightmare online. I like to say, hope for the best but prepare for the worst
-
I can't comment on that until they start releasing teasers, it's easy to be bah humbug about it right now, but I don't trust myself enough to say I won't get excited when they start revealing stuff for 23

I agree. The game has been haywire starting in 18. I play simply because as old as I am, it keeps me in the game I played for 29 years in one capacity or another.
What I would like to see them do is bring back Williams, Cobb and Hornsby. Nobody is interested in 99 scrubs like Moustakas, Hosmer or Andrus. They may have been 99's in Little League but were never that in the MLB.
And for goodness sakes, if you are going to disrespect Willie Mays this year like you did last year, just take him out of the game. Nobody wants one of the GOAT's to have a card like the first 99 Griffey you released. JMHO.
-
I'm going to take off shortly in February and get hungry for this again, because it's the only worthy baseball game out there...

It is kind of baffling that Ozzie Smith has a card that attribute wise hits lefties just as well as Willie's best card in the game.

I love that whenever I use examples of players who shouldn’t have 99s, I go right to Hosmer, Mouse and Andrus.
Willie Mays was one of the 3 biggest letdowns this year.
#1.- No Team Affinity- I get that the featured programs were basically team affinity but by combining them, there was far less content for offline players.
#2- the game fell off a cliff on December. I get that the game cycle has to end but it was so abrupt and there was no reason for people to play the forever program if they’d gotten every card.
#3.- Where is Mays? His 99 along with Gehrig’s 99s were very lame.

Yep those cards will never see even 1/3 of an inning in a game. Mainly just help with collections.

While I agree Moustakas shouldn’t have a 99 the man has a great swing in the game!!! Also regarding crazy stats go back and look at the Finest Nimmo from last year, that card has ridiculous power and that’s coming from a Mets fan.

I’m nearly P5 with Gehrig and mainly just because I’m stubborn. Love the player and usually the card and so committed to using him though agree this isn’t his best work.
