To the guy I just played who pulled every bunt cheesy, four step leadoff glitch, quick pitch move possible IN JANUARY

It’s the end of the game cycle, I just want to play an enjoyable game of baseball. I don’t care about stats or win loss as much, I just want to have fun. I have no regrets rage quitting against you on that homer in the top of the 10th. If you are going to play like an asshole, I have no problem losing like one.
Ok. Angry rant over. Happy New Year everyone. Lol

That could be half the online community. I played a guy yesterday in events that the leadoff guy got on took the big lead, then when I tried to pick him off called time out. Immediately went to the big lead, I tried again, and he paused for almost the entire clock. My starter seemed to have control problems, and I walked the next batter.
Again he takes the big leadoff, and the pause stuff begins. I eventually picked both runners off because he kept pushing his lead. I finally come to bat in the bottom of the inning, he walks my leadoff batter, throws over three straight times despite me not taking a lead, beans the bases loaded (but got no warning), and I eventually got one run out of it. If I was a better hitter he would have been toast.
I held him down the next inning and again he beaned me a couple of times with no warning from the umpire. Unfortunately, he popped a couple of homers on me, highlight reeled them both, so I beaned his next hitter and I got the warning. WTF.
Anyway, I ended up losing to a guy who was angry because I stopped him from trying to cheese on me.(he tried bunt cheese several times during the game too). I really wish SDS would monitor their online play and banish the cheesers, aka cheating exploiters to their own division where they could ply their dirty tactics on each other all day long while normal humans could play and enjoy the game in peace.

I keep thinking that if you just rely on nonsense and manipulating 'animation glitches' or whatever, then what is the point!! Why not switch to a different video game where you actually have some ability (or chance) to win the game the way it is SUPPOSED to be played. It's called baseball, not buntball for a reason. Like they always teach the youngsters: 'be a hitter'!

Wait, does quick pitching and bunting give you an advantage? What leadoff glitch? Would this not be considered cheating if they are using a known exploit? Could you not report them for using a known glitch
-
Sorry I don't really play online. I've played maybe 4 times online, so I haven't seen this cheating yet, thankfully.
-
Funny I never play online because of this kind of play from some
And I am still sitting here with 3.1m stubs and no idea how to use

A glitch is something, which is not supposed to be in the game, but can be used to get an advantage.
There is no known glitch issue using lead offs (except for being picked off ).Neither is the case for slide stepping. It messes up your timing, but it is an actual thing real-life players do
That leaves „bunting“ … To me it is close to an exploit. Even batters with 25 skill points can lay down perfect drag bunts. It is too overpowered (it got better in 22, but it is still bad)
@MarinerMatt01 What kind of advantage did he get leading off?

Try to take three steps and watch the runner go when you try to pick him up. You’ll be surprised when he steals the bag safely, especially with bases loaded.

Yup. That’s what happens! You throw over and he scores, or you step off the rubber and the runner goes back to third, only to repeat the process the next pitch and the next pitch and the next pitch and the next pitch…

Oh, I always pick them off on the second step . Did you report that to SDS?

I don't know if it was just my experience with that type of player, but sometimes the pitcher animation of throwing over to the base is so slow they still got away with it.
I was left with no choice but to quit as they would bunt cheese and then the steal exploit came into play instantly. I have no desire to tolerate blatant cheating. Especially when SDS has made it abundantly clear they will always reward it.

Well it is not technically cheating because they are just exploiting flaws in the game. But as I said in my previous post, if you need to resort to this garbage to win, then really what is the point!!?? Find something more fulfilling to do with your time, whether it be a different video game or something else.

Sliding into first, pretending to bunt, then pretending to hit, then pretending to bunt, then pretending to hit (repeatedly) (I guess they think I know how to change my fielding options on the fly, I don't), and flippity-flopping around the outfield after they catch a ball, expecting me to make a running error are my main peeves.
