I may be a little late to the party on this, but I just noticed the Series X controller now works flawlessly on this game. I haven't even tried to use it in Months because of the latency issues it had, but now its smooth as butter. I just relegated my Series X control to PC duty and have been using a Power A. Only found out because I decided to fire up the game and knock out some hitting moments and didnt want to be wired in as I wasnt gonna be all locked in and trying hard and wanted some freedom to move around as I did other things.
But if you are using Xbox and didnt know, try it out.
PPP still isnt as good as PlayStation, but it is much better.

Xbox put out an update not too long ago for the controller. It’s nice not to have my cord going across the floor now.
