Lag switch?

So I was rank 865 today when I decided to hop into a game. I haven’t been playing ranked seasons that much so I haven’t hit World Series yet and with the season coming to an end I decided I was going to get World Series today. However, I ran into someone that was 26-6 and I though it should be a good game. We started playing and this guy was leaving fastballs over the play with 99 Kluber and before I knew it I had 9 runs. I thought to myself how is this guy 26-6 but he pitches terribly? Before I say the next part keep in mind I have one of the best if not the best fiber internet you can get right now and I checked after the game on my connection status and everything was normal. This guy was down by two with a runner in 3rd with two outs in the inning. I had this guy down to his final strike with Chapman in the mound which he looked foolish on his first two swings with when all of a sudden my game froze. I waited and waited and waited for us to say opponent lost connection or network error but the game just kept staying where is was with my players walking in the infield and me not being able to play. This is roughly the 5th time that this has happened to me this year and I am absolutely fed up with it. This has also happened to one of my friends who is currently ranked 987 and he asked one of the guys what happened after a lose like mine and the guy sent him step by step how to be able to make a lag switch and how long to flip it so that your opponent will get a disconnect and you will get the win. I am absolutely tired of this happening to me in ranked seasons and it is insane that this can still happen. Is anyone else having issues like this?
