I remember that!! Felt terrible for you but then it didn’t take you as long as it would’ve taken me to “earn” him!

In the 800s. Will be a while.

Ridiculous. There needs to be a non-sell pack in the store for 1 million stubs...
And completely remove any incentive to play Ranked?
You never took an economics class, did you?
You have this upside down bud (and BTW I have a degree in business economics).
Time in game is meaningless this late in the cycle. If they offered him for 1 million stubs some casuals might come back into the game and drop some real life $$$ to buy stubs and try him out before the game dies. No point in doing that when he is impossible to buy.
SDS gets nothing out of forcing dudes who have 5 million + stubs to play 50+ sweaty hours of Ranked Seasons to earn the Big Unit.

Yeah..... no.. some casual is not going to be lured back to buy 1mish stubs to get a Randy, that's a fantasy world

SDS literally makes their money by increasing time in game. The more online engagement, the more Sony Corporate is going to support the studio. And the more resources will be budgeted for future installments. It's in SDS's interest in promoting online play. That's why BR and Ranked always see the best rewards.

SDS makes money from selling games and selling stubs. They will stimulate more games sales next year by leaving a good taste in everyone's mouth. Wait list is now over 1,800 people...you think the dudes in the back of the line will be pumped when the game ends and their stubs were worthless because they can't even buy and use the best card?
-
Well, I’m still waiting on Gary Carter from 2020 and am no less interested in the game now then I was then. Sometimes waiting for something only makes one want that thing more. Maybe tomorrow is the day for Gary

They can earn him. For free.
Those who don't get Randy are choosing not to get Randy.
-
Ehh, not interested. He's only got 6 power vs RHP and can't even steal bases

I was 15. Now over 1000
Congrats, that's awesome. @Bob_Loblaw1984 too. I tried to put mine in but the app didn't update so by the time I got to my console 5 mins later I was number 988. I get that 250 innings of RS could land me Randy (that rhymed). I got Trout by grinding BR. But ugh.....RS is just not much fun when you can't hit well.

But he bats right. His power vs left is 11 dude? You gotta get him!

Hey 250 innings will give you a lot of reps hitting online. One AB at a time, you’ll start to get rolling.

I agree. I can’t wait until they put out a better 99 Mantle. I mean, why not?

What did ya expect? He is the F*cking Catalina Wine Mixer of pitchers.

One thing that may help the people that don't want to play online for him is that this could be the last world series reward. Season ends on 12/14 or sometime around then and if there's no new reward then everyone that makes WS next season can get Randy again and sell for a million stubs. If there is a new reward next season then nevermind what I just said. At some point last year WS and BR rewards were all just rewinds but I can't remember when that exactly happened.
-
SDS might want to rethink online gameplay on some levels if so many people would rather put in a bid for 1M than actually play the game...

You're right. He's very one- dimensional.

Per my math, it's more like 20 hours. I just play 1 ranked game, or 9 innings per day ( whichever comes first). It's not a terrible grind if you spread it out.

If the million stub orders were a problem for SDS and their player base then you would think they would’ve seen a decrease in players the last few years since it has been this way for a while. They have the numbers and we don’t, they continue to do it this way which to me tells me that the whole “leave a good taste” argument is nonsense. I also don’t know many casual players that are going to want to come back to the game, drop a bunch of real life money for a player they will use offline a couple times then stop playing again.

That's nearly a month of play to earn his card. Won't the game be over by the time you get him?
