Why would they post a picture of an SDS Baseball Card of Willie Mays for his upcoming documentary Say Hey Willie Mays??? Am I overthinking this???

I know everyone said Mantle for the big collection, but I feel like it’s Mays. They said it’s the best card in show history and I feel like you can boost Mays a bit more than Mantle.

Could be. I only have Brett and only about 2/3rds to Cutch and Rollins. Sitting on 2.6M stubs so I don't think I'm even close to the BIG collection whether it is Mays or Mantle.

SDS can and does boost cards whenever and however they feel like it. Not sure how long you've played but this year is the worst by far. The cards seem to going further and further from being based on actual performances and careers.

Ive had Brett for a few months and the first time I've used him is during this event.
I just got Cutch yesterday, and other than a few times I drafted him in BR, I've used him during the current Event.
After the Event; he'll probably be on my bench until I get Griffey to at least P4.
Same thing when I get Finest Trout. He'll be a bench bat until I parallel Cutch.
To many cards out there. While that's a good thing; it's also a bad thing.
I have 12 vouchers for Rollins. Three are Mauer from the CA Collection, TN Yelich form the TN Collection, and Jackie from the AS Collection. I still need 20 reg AS cards, 5 BO, 7 2H, 7 FS, 3 Prime, 2 Awards, and 1 Takashi to get those vouchers towards Rollins.
I'm in no hurry for him as I still have FS Cruz, Awards Bogaerts, and Finest Bogaerts to parallel.
And chances are this collection coming out Friday may need at least Ohtani and possibly Brett, Cutch, and Rollins to complete.

That may be, but tbh the cards people use now are mostly the players we see overused every year

Yeh I think now people use cards of their favorite players like I have Griffey Judge Pujols and O’Neil cruz might not be best card out now but I enjoy

In the end, people are still using Trout, Griffey, and soon to be Mantle outfields with Babe/Pujols etc. at first, Trea Turner, Foxx at catcher, whoever. The other cards getting boosted up just makes for more fun options

Oh I know, it's just not my preference. I've just accepted that SDS is not necessarily going to make the best and most realistic game they can but will.make the game they can make the most money off of. Like I posted just above "whatever". It is what it is.
