What did you guys do to get better at hitting? What should I be working on or what I should I be doing daily to get better?
tens of thousands of at bats, much patience needed during the struggles, and as you start to see improvements faith that it will continue to get easier. then after that its working on being consistent.

Just when I think I'm getting good, I suck, whenI suck, I get better.
At this point I just play and whatever happens, oh well, it's just a game. -
Being good at hitting is pitch recognition. Since 99% of you play at a lower speed than max, go into the batting cages and crank up pitch speeds to max even if you don't use it. Take swings for 20 mins and try your hardest to recognize the pitch. I've been playing Legend at max speeds for years now so its easy for me but since most of you are online/DD players and you're use to slow pitches it might be difficult. You'll eventually get better at pitch recognition with the higher pitch speeds. After you've done that, go play your regular nooby online games with default pitch speeds and you'll have a much better idea of what pitch is coming next.

yeah, it is completely different from game to game, regardless of the pitcher. Product of online play, unfortunately. The game also has odd results most of the time other than Perfect Perfect. No consistency and seems to allow player (including me ) to get broken bat hits on poor swings more than hard hits on good swings

I usually slide the sliders all the way up (i.e. human power)

It aint rocket science. See the ball hit the ballas Julio Franco once said. Experiment with the hitting view options .Find an enjoyable level to practice in a competitive mode, and play yo [censored] off More pitches you see the better you get. Stay away from getting frustrated with getting your face mashed in against guys in Ranked Season and all that [censored] .If you love the game play it. Got a good a team as anybody and seldom play Ranked Season. When I do I show up .And I dont lose no sleep over no Twilight zone stats.Practice Practice Practice. Best answer there is.

I feel what you saying but SDS terrible servers, inconsistent timing windows, and outdated hitting engine says otherwise.

It really does not matter. It's rubberband baseball. Player input means nothing. I just played a game where the other player literally couldn't touch anything I threw then flukey blooper for a hit. Error by a diamond defender, flukey blooper for a hit, then the guy who literally cant touch a ball golfs a pitch in the dirt for a no doubt grand slam.
SDS decides who wins and loses, not the players.

Some merit in both statements, thats exactly why I say not to put so much importance on online experiences .They are not even remotely indicative to the true art of the game or the real die hard players who look for the feel of baseball. The game can be a blast online at times . Offline too. Dont beat yourself up while your developing skills. You will hate the game and join the seemingly long list of stuttering I hate this game pool. Play the game and enjoy it,dont let it play you. Be surprised how much better you get. Might even Git Guuud. LOL Sermon over Kwik out. Peace yall.
