Poor Steven Kwan

I’m doing his moment from back in April. Get 5 total bases. This really reveals the shortcomings of the game at present.
Kwan has 51 power vs L and somehow the only hits that fall vs a 61 OVR common pitcher are the bloops that I get under and perfect swings which don’t leave.
Poor Steven can’t even reach third base on those perfect fly balls.
The game just doesn’t work for players like this.

I lowkey kinda liked that card though. He doesn’t hit bombs often but he gets on base. I used him for a little while.

Ironically, I finally got a triple, not on a perfect swing into the gap, but on a fly ball I missed.
Definitely a fun card, but I don’t think the way the game plays is designed for these types of hitters.
What do we reckon is the minimum power to be useful? Like 85?

It can be lower than 85 for me. I really loved that Pete Crow Armstrong card in the future stars program and he had less power than that. He was a slap hitter like Kwan with a bomb here and there. Also Rod Carew,Jeff McNeil,Lou Brock. Not sure what their power numbers are but that hit enough home runs for me and have high averages.

Jon Berti is fun.

Brujan had low power but the dude hit bombs for me, online too. Some guys play above their stats, or you just click with their stance and swing.

Yessss. Brujan might’ve been the best hitting future Star all year. Him and PCA are the only position players I still throw out there occasionally.

That Topps now Corey Dickerson also plays amazing for 79/74 power. I’ve definitely upset some opponents pinch hitting him off the bench late.

Yes, he is leading off for me in this event. Fun to use different cards!
