I was having those simulations with the other map for this program. I didn’t get too far with the central yet. Just went after the Twins right away. Was able to play them on All Star.
You have to go after the Twins first. I put down a blocker of 5 fans in front of the Twins and built my fan base until it was at 20k and rolled the Twins and Cubs. I have 3 teams left to go. It's just time consuming.
I meant I beat them on my first turn. I didn’t have too long to play. Should I put up fans in front of the Cubs and build up my fan base first? The map is small, so I know most other teams are going to fill up the map. Appreciate the advice. It’s nice you have only 3 teams to go. Do you play conquest by going straight after strongholds, or the way I see some do where they save the games for last?
O my bad, sorry misread. I personally take out the first 3 strongholds (i went Twins, Cubs and Reds this time) and build a stong fan base and then start putting groups of 5k fans around the other teams and clearing the map when everything else is taken over.
Havn't had to play any games on anything harder then veteran.
My pack luck has been great tonight too.
You never have to put extra fans in every space surrounding the strong hold you just have to find the one the CPU goes after once you take the spaces surrounding them. I surround them with 1 fan each and move on when they attack that 1 i will put 5 to 10 in that spot and build up to take them out.
Yah but i also use it to bring my numbers up but yes you are correct.

exactly how does leaving 5 in each space bring your numbers up?

It's just how I like to do the maps, it's basically a habit now. I don't see how it hurts anyone anyway. Look I've never had a problem with you before but not to sound rude here but just let other people do what they find fun and just do the maps how they want.
-
I was just curious if there was better way to have extra fans that was all I was asking. It does not hurt anyone If my question came across rude or disrespect, I sorry about that. Of course it about having fun. I read this thread as people having issue with the SIM and I do not have those issue and would share the way I do it. People can choose or try it different or do it the way they choose of course . Most import thing is to always have fun.

Alright all good then, maybe I just read your comment wrong, sorry on my end as well, no harm done though.
I personally sailed through this map. The conquest maps remain my favorite thing about DD. As for them being tougher I welcome the challenge. My problem isn't the conquest maps it's the CPU pitcher consistency (but that's been a problem all year and will continue to be so)

I wonder if they increased the CPU “aggressiveness value” for Extreme Conquest and then just forgot to reset it? I have no idea how coding works, but I wonder if they just take the most recent map, duplicate it to create a new file, and then change around the hexagon design and the opponents and rewards and stuff. So if there were any new algorithms or aggressiveness settings changed for Extreme, those values might have just been passed from one map to the next and to the next. Like an STD at an Arizona State dorm.

I just finished this map and I agree that it’s very aggressive. I had to take the White Sox twice. I don’t think it helped with how small and close together the strongholds are. This map took me twice as long to finish as the east map. Once I got the strongholds taken, even taking the rest of the map took longer because of the double-digit fans and having to reinforce so often. It was fun though. I can’t wait to open my packs to see what I earned.

I do know these are duplicate maps from last year or the year before I believed they were used for TA in previous years. A

I am on, like, turn 44 and only have half the map complete. I’ve spent lots and lots of turns just reinforcing positions.
