I was having those simulations with the other map for this program. I didn’t get too far with the central yet. Just went after the Twins right away. Was able to play them on All Star.
You have to go after the Twins first. I put down a blocker of 5 fans in front of the Twins and built my fan base until it was at 20k and rolled the Twins and Cubs. I have 3 teams left to go. It's just time consuming.
I meant I beat them on my first turn. I didn’t have too long to play. Should I put up fans in front of the Cubs and build up my fan base first? The map is small, so I know most other teams are going to fill up the map. Appreciate the advice. It’s nice you have only 3 teams to go. Do you play conquest by going straight after strongholds, or the way I see some do where they save the games for last?
O my bad, sorry misread. I personally take out the first 3 strongholds (i went Twins, Cubs and Reds this time) and build a stong fan base and then start putting groups of 5k fans around the other teams and clearing the map when everything else is taken over.
Havn't had to play any games on anything harder then veteran.
My pack luck has been great tonight too.
I haven’t had great pack luck this year. I did pull a couple of Julio Urias LS card. Can never have too many of them. I hope your luck comes to me tomorrow!

All star game Manoah, a 35k diamond equipment, and a chase pack that got me Luis Arraez went for 50k and pulled A Kenny Lofton headliner for 35k out of the headliner choice pack, so about 190k in one night. Hope you have luck tomorrow bud.

The Grasshopper map was strange in that I took the Orioles stronghold and was focusing on Tampa Bay territories for a few turns when the remaining Orioles territories began attacking my tiles. I thought that once you took a stronghold, the remaining terrorists became dormant?
-
I was hoping the extreme conquest was going to be against the god squads for each team.
-
The sims are ridiculous on this one. I had a stretch of 3 rounds in a row where I had 11 against the CPU's 1 and lost all each round before finally moving on the 4th try. I'm on turn 30 and a little over halfway done. I'm lucky to gain 2-3 territories per sim.

Yeah I did the same thing put 5 fans there and reload took over the empty spaces waited until I could play them on Vet and took them out did the same for the other teams, I only have two teams left to do but I just have to play the games and take the strong holds.

You never have to put extra fans in every space surrounding the strong hold you just have to find the one the CPU goes after once you take the spaces surrounding them. I surround them with 1 fan each and move on when they attack that 1 i will put 5 to 10 in that spot and build up to take them out.
-
I rarely play CQ above Vet, All CQ maps are super easy and I do not have this issue of Sim vs CPU maybe it is the way I go about it. I take out the Stronghold on these Maps on Vet or R as soon as I can I will build up enough fans and take them out, Move to the next one. On Some of them I take all the surrounding spaces around the Strongholds, Once I do that the CPU will only attack one of those spaces. When I see which one that is I can Load 5 to 10 fans in that space until I want to take it over. I do not waste fans by loading fans in all the surrounding hex around a Stronghold. I keep the same or less then one fan in spaces the CPU has fans boarding my fans. Once I take over a strondhold that the CPU would be able to attack i Leave 5 to 10 fans in that stronghold but I only have had to do that on the US Map and the East Map so far.

exactly how does leaving 5 in each space bring your numbers up?

It's just how I like to do the maps, it's basically a habit now. I don't see how it hurts anyone anyway. Look I've never had a problem with you before but not to sound rude here but just let other people do what they find fun and just do the maps how they want.
-
I was just curious if there was better way to have extra fans that was all I was asking. It does not hurt anyone If my question came across rude or disrespect, I sorry about that. Of course it about having fun. I read this thread as people having issue with the SIM and I do not have those issue and would share the way I do it. People can choose or try it different or do it the way they choose of course . Most import thing is to always have fun.

Alright all good then, maybe I just read your comment wrong, sorry on my end as well, no harm done though.
I personally sailed through this map. The conquest maps remain my favorite thing about DD. As for them being tougher I welcome the challenge. My problem isn't the conquest maps it's the CPU pitcher consistency (but that's been a problem all year and will continue to be so)

I wonder if they increased the CPU “aggressiveness value” for Extreme Conquest and then just forgot to reset it? I have no idea how coding works, but I wonder if they just take the most recent map, duplicate it to create a new file, and then change around the hexagon design and the opponents and rewards and stuff. So if there were any new algorithms or aggressiveness settings changed for Extreme, those values might have just been passed from one map to the next and to the next. Like an STD at an Arizona State dorm.
-
I just finished this map and I agree that it’s very aggressive. I had to take the White Sox twice. I don’t think it helped with how small and close together the strongholds are. This map took me twice as long to finish as the east map. Once I got the strongholds taken, even taking the rest of the map took longer because of the double-digit fans and having to reinforce so often. It was fun though. I can’t wait to open my packs to see what I earned.

I do know these are duplicate maps from last year or the year before I believed they were used for TA in previous years. A

I am on, like, turn 44 and only have half the map complete. I’ve spent lots and lots of turns just reinforcing positions.
