Is the event on a higher setting?

Just feels like I am struggling so much in the event and just the past 2 days or so trying to square up a ball. I've had no problems with it until this event. Still winning and hitting some [censored] hard but it just feel much, MUCH harder. Which I'm ok with as long as its consistent and not glitched. Just seems a tad random to me for the time being
