Question about pickoffs/stealing
-
I have had this happen a couple of times this week. One time against a cheeser, but I also had it happen against a normal player.
Runner takes a massive lead; I mean at least 3 steps. I throw to first and the runner instantly takes off for the next base, but for some reason he is literally 3/4 of the way to the next base before the ball even reaches the fielder.
Is this yet another glitch that can be exploited by cheesers? If it is I might not be as eager to throw over on the overly aggressive lead, because I have gotten very good at picking runners off. I even had a guy quit after I got him twice in 3 innings.

Step off and throw to 2nd if he goes

OK, I like that idea, but I don't know how to do that. Is it the share button, or something else?

Next time you suspect this is going to happen. Step off. Wait for him to break to second....DO NOT THROW run after him to force him then throw him out at second. It avoids run down situations.

To step off press L1 and then throw to the base ahead of the runner
