I'm interested to see how everyone approaches the LS collection. How do you choose which teams to complete first - cheapest or best rewards? Are you concerned with completing the team before getting the level 10 TA pack? Do you lock in all 40 cards at the same time, or take the stubs/XP for each group of 10 and piecemail the team until it's completed? Do you complete the free agent collection?

I complete the collect 30 for the teams when I get all of the cards, but hold off on locking in golds and diamonds until I complete a division. That way I can liquidate the diamonds if I need to because a specific card was released that I want.

In terms of collection order, I go by A) which ones I want to do, B) which divisions I'm closest, or C) which diamonds I pull or get from rewards.

I did the Astros first since that's my team. I wanted the 92 Nolan Ryan...unfortunately, he has gotten ROCKED in online play...then I got lucky and pulled Yelich so I completed the Brewers. The Plesac reliever reward card is good for me. I also got lucky and pulled Arrenado so I completed the Rockies...I'm trying to complete the NL West b/c one of my favorite players growing up was Tony Gwynn. It will probably be awhile to complete the Dodgers, but that's my long term goal. Hope my comments help you out and best wishes!

I've been waiting until I open the Team Affinity pack (and/or waiting for Trevor Rosenthal to re-enter low-earth orbit).

I tend to do cheapest w/non-diamonds first. Then I move to 30/40 for everyone else and fill out by cheapest diamonds. So, using this method, unless I'm incredibly lucky, the Angels will be my last team completed. That being said, I jumped on 19 when it was free on PSPlus in October and still got Mays/Wagner NMS in a relatively short time. So I know I'll definitely be able to complete collections again this year, assuming content/earnings are similar.

I'm no money spent, and haven't felt like playing the market a whole lot this year, so I'm just taking what the game gives me with dailies/post game rewards/free packs, and then when I get close to a 10 or 20 or level level on a team ill buy the last couple to get there. Only 2 teams done so far, but 30+ on several others so far.

Go for the cheapest first and foremost. Once those are done I go for the cheaper diamond players and complete that team. I always make sure I have all 40 players unlocked on the team before I lock anyone in just in case they get moved as free agents or anything. Lastly I’ll go for the more expensive diamonds little by little

I got every team to 30 first, then I did the teams with no diamond players. I’m saving stubs flipping cards on the market when I have time.
Just playing a ton of conquest right now for the after game rewards and waiting to get that 10 pack bundle again

    My strategy generally is:

    1. I go division by division, to keep the rewards coming.
    2. Getting all teams to 30 can be helpful.
    3. Sell off every non-LS card I ever unlock, that can be sold, and stay focused on the division-by-division approach.
    4. Exchange all free agents.
    5. 9-win BR rewards are your friend.

I do good to hit the 3-win award so I stay clear of BR at all costs

Buy packs, open the packs. Get sad, but think your luck cannot remain this bad so it has to be in the next pack. Buy a few more packs. Stay sad, and that's how I've gotten close to finishing 1/3 of the collections last year 🙂 that and I could actually quicksell all the golds that were at 1k stubs back with no money lost. So that disappeared this year. No collections for me

Yeah. BR is probably the best moneymaker in the game, but it also requires being able to earn a diamond level player with relative frequency. Otherwise you tend to just bleed stubs into it.

That Ryan card sucks so bad! He only gets to 98 which is not Ryan gas and he’s easy to read

I did all teams to 30 then locked in golds and diamonds as I got them as my stub roll allowed. I ponied up and did the Yankees right away, and giambi remains my best bat

    Exactly why I stay away

I start with all the commons, then move to bronze, then silver, then gold and finally diamond. All the while I am locking in collections at the 10/20/30 marks and generating XP. A few teams were completed after I got done collecting all the silvers and a few more are done, now that I am working on golds. It will take awhile, but I will start to pick off diamonds here and there.

Just by doing all commons and bronze you can get almost every team to the 20 player mark and take advantage of the XP boost. I spent less than 20,000 stubs to get to that point.

It is nothing like last year, just fyi. Maybe later in the year, but will still be much different not quickselling low cost diamonds

I'm really specific which collections I've been doing. For example, I haven't collected hardly any of the Rangers, Mariners, Orioles, or Giants because those cards are selling for a lot more than I feel they are worth. I've bee trying to figure out who will bring back the most enjoyment for my Stubs so the collections I've done so far are:

White Sox (I had to have Buehrle as a lifelong Sox fan)
Nationals (I haven't unlocked a Vlad since he was put into the game and I had to change that this year)
Cubs (I heard great things about that Mark Prior and I have always mashed with Baez & Bryant)
Red Sox (Chris Sale was one of the first cards I went out of my way to buy so it just made sense to get Boston done)

And then I have a collection completed but not locked in with the Rockies. I'm waiting until the 2nd Inning Program drops before I decide to lock in Arenado (who I pulled in a BIAH pack) and Trevor Story. Also have the Cardinals, Royals, Rays, Athletics, and Padres just about done (missing about 5 cards or less for each). I do want to get all the collections done as the Sheffield, Biggio, and Mantle cards are very appealing to me, not to mention I really want that Billy Wagner, Roberto Alomar, and Tony Gwynn cards as well.
