Parallel System Rework
-
So I was thinking of ways to make the parallel system better and here's what I came up with.
Back in MLB The Show 20 we had this feature called " Prestige ". In order to
prestige a card you would need to complete certain online stat missions with a selected card. When you completed those said stat missions you would receive a juiced up version of that same card ( Kind of like what a P5 card is now).So what if we bring back the prestige feature as well as the parallel feature and combine the two?
We can use Cutch as an example for this. Lets say SDS dropped a Prestige mission for Cutch in the "Other Programs" tab. The missions to get prestige Cutch are a number of online stat missions and to P5 Cutch. Do all that and you receive Prestige Cutch. Once you have Prestige Cutch you can further parallel that card up another 5 parallel levels to get yet another +5 to all stats
( +10 in total ).This may as well break the game but I feel like it would make a lot more cards useable and get more playing time on different teams. This would reward the online players with something more to strive toward and push some of the offline players into the online modes.
Let me know what yall think about this! If its a [censored] idea let me know!

What they need to do is find a way to parallel hitters faster
XP should be given for every perfect perfect(regardless of the outcome),putouts, diving catches,HR robberies, double plays turned, caught stealing for a catcher ect

I agree. Maybe have the online stat missions give you a certain number of pxp upon completing them? That seems like a good way to make getting that P5 card easier! They could very well just increase the pxp we get for regular in game stats as well.

I don’t see any issue with the way they have it for hitters, it is supposed to take a long time. I would like to see a
Change to make it more difficult to P5 a pitcher. -
This would create way too many max hitting cards across the board. I think the current parallel system is fine myself.
-
Definitely disagree. Prestige was a test run for parallels and the extra cards clogged up the inventory screen. The parallel system could use a few tweaks to the values that certain stats get you, but overall it's in a pretty good spot

I d like to see a hbp give 5 pxp like a walk does.

I would definitely like to see more PXP for things like caught stealing and HR robberies, but rewarding perfect/perfect regardless of outcome is a slippery slope. Then we'll have people on here crybabying about how their opponent only got to P5 with late/early hits and how that should be nerfed in 2024. Results are all that matters in baseball. You don't win games with "expected" stats.

I am not sure how much it needs to be reworked. Tweaked maybe.
I'd have almost no problem with it if it was not for SDS using PXP and their method of giving you one player at a time in the POTM missions. It is meant to artificially slow you down in those programs and I hate it.
-
I would rather see certain cards get a P5 program so collection cards, POTM cards get a small program that at the end you get a different variation of that card. For example let's use George Brett, once he is P5 his card remains the same but now Betts immige pops out in real colors with his jersey. There would be packs and other rewards in the path

If anything for batters, do like RTTS. Give points for putouts, and assists.
