The amount of time people are wasting on the showdowns they could be done the PXP grind. The showdown takes a lot of luck, sht draft? No chance, Sht RNG rolls?, no chance. Not really. 25k xp is a huge time suck. I play a lot (only game I play), and am only a bit over 10k xp since program drop.
I "wasted" 2 showdowns before beating it 3rd time so that didn't really hurt my accumulation....Those doing it by xp will be grinding for a long time.

Almost nobody is getting these cards strictly through doing the PXP mission. To get all the way up to Donaldson it is like 850k PXP. Anybody who can't grind through the actual moments and showdown probably does not play enough to get to that total.

Every Showdown last year and up to this point this year have been a layup.
I like the fact that this Showdown is extremely difficult.
I tried once.
Destroyed Greinke, lost the 2nd boss battle, and realized I ain't good enough to be aggravated by this.
Heck, even the Conquest took planning and some strategy.What's the point in playing this (or any other) video game if there aren't some "impossible" missions.
We shouldn't be continuously handed 99's like some quasi-participation trophy. -

I am at 12k just doing the turn based goals on the conquest, so it really doesn’t take that long IMO. The 3-4 hours wasted attempting that showdown 6 times I could have earned the one 25k pxp and probably made it half way through the second.

I finished all the moments, will finish the conquest when I get home, will parallel Wood during my completion of the conquest and save my sanity by not bothering with the showdown, I obviously wouldn’t just go strictly pxp route but I will use that route to slowly gain the last 25 program points I need. I am not desperate for any of these cards, the program isn’t timed and the cards are not sellable so I will slow roll the rest of the way to Donaldson and enjoy the time I spend on the game rather than manically laughing out of frustration from watching guys with 45 speed and 50 fielding attributes turn into platinum glovers. Showdown is the ultimate luck based RNG simulator, the few of us skilled enough to create their own luck can have the cookie for completing showdown the rest of us will choose to save our stubs and sanity and just play the game to finish the program.

Outside of one Game on all star the rest of the goals I could complete on veteran ( for some reason I was absolutely raking on vet, like way more than usual) played all the hexagons leading to the next stronghold instead of simming and those were on rookie which I was doing very well in, I haven’t even used Kerry yet. Honestly I just had a lot of good results, huge blowout games where I was batting around at least once an inning and that really helped bump my PXP up per game.

For true pxp's only, I don't think 6-7k per hour is possible. I get around 600-700 for each Conquest game, and those can take up to 15 minutes. When I play RS, it takes at least a half hour, and you might get 1,500. So I'm guessing 3k per hour max.

Unless pxp is accumulated through showdowns as well i am just basing it off whats on my PXP mission accumulator which says 12k PXP and all I have done is the turn based goals on the conquest. So I honestly couldn’t tell you how I got there other than I had really big blowout games in the conquest. If I knew how or why I am there I would be more than happy to share but thats where I am at. Was it double PXP this weekend?

It was double "XP's", but not PxP. Maybe that's what you're seeing. When I finish a game, I might see "5,000 XPs" gained, but PxP's will be much less.

Yes I completely agree. I love how some people just say it's supposed to be extreme! I had no problem with conquest or the moments. But there is a difference between extreme difficulty and a broken game. Fielding stats don't mean anything in this game as when you play offline the CPU makes Trout like plays with common players. It's an absolute joke! Isn't this game supposed to be a baseball "sim" not an arcade style game! And the hitting is completely random. Perfect-perfect foul balls on pitches in the zone, early HR's on balls out of the zone, there is no consistency what so ever! SDS have been making this game for how long now and they still have no clue how to get it remotely correct.
