The Worst Ever Baseball Game

I don't speak or write perfect English since my primary language is Spanish but this is my thoughts about this game.
I consider myself as a good player.
But MLB 2022 is by far the worst baseball game that I have ever played. Great graphic. But poor game logic.
It doesn't act like a mayor league game but more like minor league.Anybody with a 100+ mph pitchers become good even if they are trash. There are no chances to identify what is coming since you need to be way ahead and the check swing is trash so you mostly will get a k. Reason of why too many quits.
But when you finally get a good swing they don't even need to field the ball since it end being a fly ball or ground ball straight to the glove. Even when the game says it was a good swing and you feel it was almost perfect. Very annoying.I miss old games in where you had to test your fielding skills. This games is now way too encrypted to the point that it doesn't even do what you want when you want, so if it keep like that we will only be able to watch CPU vs CPU in future games.
Too many stupid fouls even when you hit the green spot. Very annoying.
I almost forgot, the pitcher control. OMG. It is like a minor league game in where the pitchers do not control the ball well. But common. Most mayor league pitchers have perfect control.
So. Why when I release the ball good I have to miss my target?
They are penalizing us for doing it good?Too me most of the game developers ( I mean the main head or who control the games) these days are dealing with mental issues.

Oh and also the game developer mention at the bottom, remember these developers answer to higher ups etc, I don't think blaming the game developers makes much sense since they typically don't have much say in the game.

On the control of pitchers. Becoming a major league starting pitcher is just too hard. Only a few of the players in the whole world manage to become this.
A major league pitcher doesn't necessarily aim for the center of the plate, but for the corner areas or hitters' weak areas.
Very complicated task. I mean, I go back and repeat, they're not looking to throw the ball down the middle of the plate.
So it doesn't mean they have no control if they are not hitting the center of the plate.But my point here is. Why if I'm the one that is controlling the pitcher, and I'm doing it right. Why I'm been penalized by soo many random pitches when the input was good?
That's very annoying because I want to pay for my mistakes and not by the CPU mistakes. -
I definitely agree about being punished with pitching. I believe the game determines before the first pitch which team will win. Too many times I have had a pitcher with 91 control have a pitch with "perfect" release point indicate on the chart but the pitch will go nowhere where I aimed it. This results in a couple of gift walks to the player the AI has determined should win the game, resulting in me having to go much deeper into the hitting zone, thereby gifting the player the AI has determined should win can then start bashing many home runs, which destroys the pitchers confidence, resulting in a game that is lopsided.
I also notice that when you are the team the AI has determined should lose, and are at bat, the same pitches that were called balls when you were on the mound are magically strikes while you are at the plate. Another favorite tactic by SDS is to ensure their preferred players get easier matchups. I have played about 50 or so online games, and am close to .500, but most of my wins were rage quits by the other player, so I am clearly not that good, but I routinely get matched up against players sporting GOAT, World Series, Bling, and at least 3 matchups against World Series Flawless players.
I mean how am I supposed to get better if I am against a player that is so superior, I have already lost before the first pitch? This is the equivalent of putting a little league team against the 27 Yankees. I don't mind losing, but when I have to beat the player as well as the AI it is just too frustrating.

It used to be AA AAA and MLB pitchers all pretty much threw the same velocity and the same pitches. The guys who made it to MLB were the guys who could hit their spots consistently and overall had better control of their pitches. Now it is about going out there and throwing as hard as you can for 5 or 6 innings and let the Bullpen finish up. The game has changed but I know what the OP is trying to convey.

Bro the point here is that when in real life they do a wrong or a bad pitch, there is a logic behind it. They do mistakes and that's when a bad pitch occur.
In MBL the game, the mechanic they are giving you to get a good pitch is supposed to be impacted with your pitch release.
But they still penalized you even when you do it right.I have loss a few game just by a system mistake, no a mistake of mine. When you have a real competition spirit it turns really annoying to you because it is like if they are telling you "you did it wrong" when you know you did it right.
MLB THE SHOW will never be a ESPORT game because of things like this.

Hitting with pci zone has become not fun at all. I can barely catch up to fastballs and I do ok with off speed but a lot times its a out or foul. Then I see these guys who hit everything which puts salt in the wound.
Not to mention the 6 innings co op change which is [censored]. Sucks the life out of that mode.
New golf game coming out soon which has a good sim mode and really like arma reforger so I am about done with this. If they make co op a better mode next game with more depth liked online rated and CO op franchise I will get it again.

To you both. I know that there are no choices to people that love to play baseball games but to play this game. That is why I keep playing this game but no too often as I would if the game didn't had soo many things that push me to stay away at times.
I hope they bring back All Stars Baseball or at least MVP. Then you won't see me here.

Good thread here, the game has many options that allow control to the user. This scripted [censored] we are seeing this year needs to be trashed. Actually I think ( theory )that window they put in with the percent to win horse [censored] is an initiator . SDS wants to cater to online play because thats where the moneyy flows. You are mismatched in Ranked season so you get your [censored] beat and go crying to Mommy for her credit card to get the greatest johnny come lately the Youtube hero says you need. Great! If hats your game go for it. SDS should simply create a mode called BASEBALL. Here everyone would play on the same level vrs CPU Custom lineups just like Extra Innings and be recognized as the true base majority of this game. They get rid of any mode or ignore it if it threatens their cash baby , Online Cheesebowl.
