Difficulty levels

I posted before about how I bought the games a weeks ago and loving it. Trying diamond dynasty but mostly vs CPU.
Now onto difficulty levels. I like the idea of a dynamic difficulty but as a new player, I felt it moved way too fast from level to level to a point where you suddenly struggle to do anything.
I tried RTTS, and when I was in AA, rookie was too easy to I moved to all star. Now in the majors, I had to switch back to rookie mostly because the CPU just does incredible things to avoid you getting a hit. From grabbing liners to diving plays in foul territory.
It seems the CPU plays hard at all levels but the main difference is the size of the PCI was you go up in difficulty?
I try to play at a level where it's competitive, close games even if I lose. But rookie still feels quite difficult even when playing mini seasons for example.
Any other thoughts on this? I can't imagine playing CPU on legend or Hall of fame hitting.

The two things that I know the difficulty adjusts is the PCI size and pitch speed.
In RTTS the difficulty used to be adjusted based on what level you were at. I don't know if that is still the case. But I think it was that AAA was the difficulty you chose, AA was one difficulty lower and the Majors were one difficulty higher.
Mini seasons is always going to feel harder than conquest, for example, because you are going up against stacked teams all with best hitters and pitchers.
Personally, I play mostly on veteran. I am all for people playing on the difficulty that best suits them. For some that means rookie and blowing out the CPU teams every game. For others it is playing on all star or above and having close intense games. The goal after all is to have fun.

SDS completely screwed up the CPU fielding this year. So many diving/miracle plays on all difficulty levels that it's just ridiculous. They really need to tone that down.

You try to be patient and take pitches but end up quickly down 0-2. I'm better off swinging first pitch or waiting for 5-6th

Allstar Vrs CPU is about right to me. CPU is getting help this year . Personally I wouldnt play if I didnt lose some. The MLB rosters get boring but its baseball much of the time and it doesnt hit the fastball you threw at the batboy 600 feet to centerfield. Being able to play other peoples teams in extra innings was better. Most will say they dont like playing CPU ,truth is cheese will not confuse or work against it,that is why. You try bunting with every hitter and get cheesy it beat yo [censored]. We got what we got this year. Allstar should give you the competitive type game to keep you hustling.
