Pedro Likely The Third Boss... And I'm Scared
-
Realistically I’m not expecting max per 9s. Probably 90-100 H/9 80-90 K/9 very good Control and unfortunately no Outlier on his Fastball. that being said I hope I’m wrong and his a goon/Hands down best pitcher in the game arguably.

Awards Pedro (not Finest or Milestone) confirmed.
Very concerned they once again screw him attribute-wise.
I'm not concerned. Last year being a signature card is what screwed him. It's the worst series a pitcher can have because its based on career averages. That being said, his H/9 in 97 was 1.2 better than his career average. It will be at least 110
Dragon, how do you know so much? I just looked and thought...."cool a different card this year and it's pretty"
Who has over 110 H/9 this year for starters? I know Nolan does. Anyone else?
Nolan is the only one but a couple FS guys are close. That being said, I'm basing this off of the Cy Young cards already in the game. Price had 7.4 H/9 in 2012- 87 H/9 in game. Keuchel and Smoltz had an identical 7.1 H/9 in their Cy Young seasons- both 91 H/9 in game. Robbie Ray? 7.0 H/9 last year, 95 in game. Pedro had 5.9 H/9 in 1997. I also don't like to pretend SDS is screwing these guys on purpose with hand picked attributes when they clearly get put into a calculator. What series is chosen is the only think SDS screws them over with

Edit: I just looked and even Randy is 105. What is everyone so worried about?
I'll reiterate....Griffey is not THE Griffey. There will be another. And my guess is it'll be a part 2 of the program (well that's your guess Dragon) but I'm pretty sure you're right.
Randy has also been available since day 1. I that’s a long time for a card to still be used as a measuring stick, he might remain top 5 Pitcher for the rest of the year TBH. Outlier fastball 5 pitch mix good stuff-Control at P5 his a Unit pun intended .

I just want to know why the 1997 pedro and not 1999. He was a better pitcher in 99. Dude won 23 game and only gave up 9 HR which striking out 313. He did have more innings in 97 to go with more CG shut outs and better ERA. I think he could be a good card

99 he was worse in H/9 by almost 1 Hit a game. A 99 card leads to the same H/9 as last year. 2000 would have been ideal but I would take 97 over 99 for this game

God I hope you're wrong, but I bet you're right.
Then why TF did they choose 99?Like there's absolutely no reason to not give Pedro the card he deserves. He was right with Randy as the two best pitchers of their generation.
Eff SDS if they give us another mediocre Pedro.

They chose 97. I was responding to the guy that would have preferred 99

Oh ok thanks. As you can see I'm pessimistically ready to overreact to another subpar Pedro.

To see his attributes.
Dropping alongside subpar Ripken and Bench cards, I doubt they'll juice Pedro to the level he deserves.
Pedro and Randy are the clear Top 2 SP of their generation, and Pedro should get a card worthy of that.
But I'm not optimistic.
How do we know Ripken send Bench are subpar? Where is everyone getting these attributes?
People are probably basing their negative opinions on those two players notoriously having long/slow swings. Even if they have juiced attributes, if their swings haven’t been updated, it holds them back from being useable for most players
Manny Machado has had one of the juiced out finest cards at the end of one game, last year or the year prior, or more. I could never hit with him because of his swing. I’ll play with players I dislike, but not that I cannot play with.

That makes sense. It is a bummer that certain players swings render them useless in higher online difficulties. Luckily I swim in the shallow end so every single card in the game is somewhat usable. Part of me wants to improve and graduate to higher difficulties, part of me wants to always enjoy playing rookie against CPU where I can use all the cards in my inventory.
Hey man, I am not great by any means. It’s a video game and the point is to have fun. Unless you are making money off the game, there’s no reason to not enjoy yourself.

Yeah my apologies. He's definitely in the conversation. Maddux didn't have nearly as dominant peak as the other 2, but definitely had the consistency over a longer career.
-
Disagree. Gis peak was just as good as the other 2 and career better than both.
Look at 92 thru 98 on Baseball Ref.
- 2.18 Cy Young
- 2.36 Cy Young
- 1.56 Cy Young
- 1.63 Cy Young
96 2.72
97 2.20
98 2.22
