First I will say that I use classic pitching. I am not going to get into the reasons for it. What I have noticed in this years game is the total lack of control of all pitches. I will put the marker down and away on a change up and it will go up to the top of the strike zone. I try to throw a high FB and it goes a foot above the zone. I will put the marker down and in on a CB and it goes way outside out of the zone. The SP I have created is a flame thrower so I understand he will not have as good of control as a control freak but he should be some what accurate. It's not like his control attribute is at zero. I have the same problem with the slider as well so it is not just one pitch it is control in general. For wise guys that will say try another type of pitching other than classic, that is not the answer. That is like saying if your car has a bad transmission than just drive a different car. I say fix the problem.

It's more like a you're eating yogurt with a fork situation and we're trying to tell you how much easier it would be with a spoon.

While pitching control is somewhat of an Issue and has been better recently, Classic pitching has bad control on purpose. If you don't want to use analog or meter at least use pulse. Its the second easiest to use and still has better control than classic

If I recall, classic pitching relies heavily on the BB/9 attribute. The farther away from 99(or 125) BB/9 your pitcher is, the less likely your pitch will be on target. I think confidence also plays a role, as does the games' weird "Didn't throw enough fastballs? Time to miss your spot horribly" thing the game does. There's no real way to fix this without completely nullifying BB/9

There are people that claim classic pitching can be more than just a heave it at the plate mode-that it all depends on when you hit the X
    I'm sticking with analog.

I am unable to use pulse because it gives me a headache, I can't use analog or meter because I am older and do not have good eye-hand coordination. I am played classic now for a long time and even though the control is not great it has never been this bad in any other year. It's like you just can't pitch. it is really bad when the CPU players foul off everything and then take pitched right on the edge of the zone for a ball. It is real discouraging when you have 7-12 pitch AB's over and over then in the 8th or 9th inning they pound you so you lose.

Control is for sure an issue. I wish there was an alternate setting for this outside of just difficulty level. My friend and I play a fantasy drafted franchise mode every year and we constantly apologize for pitching not going anywhere close to where you tried to put them.
