I know you’ll probably beg to differ, but I don’t like hitting this year either. It’s just too difficult in my opinion. It’s not a case of git gud scrub, online, swing timing windows are messed up pretty bad imo. It varies from game to game as well which is even worse. I feel like becoming an offline player, because at least it’s consistent.

I disagree, it's harder to hit this year, sure maybe it is, but people wanted a skill gap and if new timing windows are causing there to be more of a skill gap than that's just the way it goes, good hitters have seemed to figure out the timing windows after a couple days.

Thing is, I don’t think being able to swing crazily fast like a madman without aiming your pci is a skill, much less one that should be the determining factor above all else. If you can’t place your pci on the ball and time a swing in the millisecond window afforded to you, you begin to be at a disadvantage against players who use analog flick or, to a lesser extent due to its obvious handicaps, directional input. There would be a skill gap, if the game didn’t reward people who just sell out and swing as early as possible over those who attempt to read the pitch and react appropriately. As it stands its a fake skill gap that can be exploited due to the terrible state of pitching. Swing early and wait for the game to hand you a cookie by making your opponent hang a pitch, because BB/9 should matter.

️So what you're saying is if you can't catch up to pitches you should be rewarded for not being able to catch up? I read and react to every pitch and sure maybe I have quick reflexes but in a timing based game you have to have quick reflexes.
