.166/.189/.311 slash line. I am 6-2 and currently rated at 815. Hooray?
It is way too difficult to get hits. The stats reflect real baseball at the moment, with overall batting averages being lower than ever. However, this isn’t real life. This is a video game. And most of the time it isn’t fun to play because of this. I don’t want 20 runs scored per game or anything, but it’s just too stingy as it is now.
So difficult to strings hits together. I’m lucky if I get over five a game. Yet I see some players are able to consistently hit over .300, so I know it’s possible. Would love to know what they’re doing, so RS can be a bit more tolerable.

If your in the 800 range your good man. Every game I play is a lineout and strikeout fest. Hitting in general is pretty difficult this year. Not very fun. Your not the only one struggling I promise man

Appreciate it man. I enjoy the theory of baseball enough to keep me coming back to nine inning ES games, but these constant 3-2 hit games get frustrating after awhile, win or lose.

I feel you. That’s all I’ve had lately. Played a game yesterday and lost 1 to 0 and got 1 hit. He had 1 hit also but you can guess what it was. Most of my other games though lately are the same as you. 3 or 4 runs total from both teams. Not much fun at all

Most of my opponents seem to do all right, .

Part of the problem is there’s zero hit variety. It’s either home run or bust. Unfortunately they haven’t figured out how to program singles, doubles or triples into the game. How many times a game does a 3rd baseman, first baseman or pitcher make a miraculous stop? It’s like every other play. Not to mention, the auto shift kills so many hits. I’m ok with the shift, but not the auto shift. You should manually have to shift.

They do need to fix the ridiculous pitcher fielding animations. The behind the back glove snag on ground balls up the middle should happen a couple times a year in the MLB, not once in every DD game played
-
I want to add to this based on my latest game, btw I won it.
So my opponent struck out 21 times, had 11 balls put in play and 6 were outs, 5 were hits.
I put the ball in play 26 times, 18 outs and 8 hits.
How can I go from 9 runs on 11 hits to only 3 runs on 8 hits in back to back games with consistent input (placement and timing were good about 90% of the time).
This dude almost beat me and I guarantee you he was guessing locations and swinging. SDS has clearly helped this person get to the 790s to 840s. (He was rated 794)

Your right about that. There is nothing random about this game while pitching or hitting and that what makes the game stale. You can predict each outcome rather soon after contact off the bat. Content is great though and attainable.

I know it’s typical to say he was using directional/timing but this is what seems to be the case with these guys. All it takes is them timing a pitch that hangs and they’ll usually get rewarded, where if you’re using a PCI, if you’re slightly off, it’s more than likely an out.
Zone is still the better option but it just seems like guys who can’t seem to hit or time anything are using something else. I had a game where I only allowed 4 hits, 18 Ks, but his two hits were perfects. Either he got extremely lucky or just happened to time those up, but no way he put a pci on the ball too.

Seriously, I'm not trying to start an argument so please do your best to answer this diplomatically. Why do you come on this forum and insult people? I'm just genuinely curious what that does for you? If it makes you feel good, I really hope you know, you will get what you give in life.
Now try to answer this without immediately being cruel or insulting. I have not done that to you.

Sometimes I believe they are zone users that can’t control their pci and get lucky with one location when they get P/P, everything else is always a bloop

This is an accurate description of my approach at the plate
