I’m sure I’ll get a lot of people who disagree with me but here’s my thoughts.

All the cards are actually pretty useable from this program. I think for the 95 overalls Jose Miranda has a great swing,Cole Irvin with his 115 Bb/9 is awesome. He can dot pitches anywhere Andres Munoz is lik3 a better version of Edwin Diaz. The only reason I say that is because he throws the same pitches as Diaz but he has outlier and 100 BB/9.

Now for the the 97 cards Chapman and Pressly are pretty decent but Matt Carpenter is on a whole other level. This is where I’m probably I’m going catch some hate but I think Carpenter is the best card in the program. On paper Austin Riley looks like he could easily be way better than every third baseman other than George Brett but there’s something about his swing I’m not crazy about. I have about 100 at bats with him and I’m not saying he’s bad but it’s not clicking right away like it did with Devers. I did hit a 473 foot grand slam with Riley that looked like he didn’t even get all of it. That was crazy. I hate to even say it but I think Devers might still be better than Austin Riley at third. Good thing for Austin though is he has good enough speed to play a pretty good left field. I know in a couple weeks I might have a totally different opinion about Riley and think hes god tier. We will see.

With all that being said I think Matt Carpenter is the best card in the program and might be a top 3 first baseman in the game.

What’s your thoughts? Am I crazy?

I don't disagree at all, this Carpenter is a beast. I think i may be up to 20+ home runs with him already. Riley and the others are fun but there not automatic like Carpenter.

20 already??? Ok man I see you! I have 14 in 94 at bats but he’s also hitting .447. Carpenter is so insane . That swing is money

20 Hrs, 25 RBI's (i'm batting him 5th behind Soto, Realmuto and Julio Rodriguez so thats why no one is ever on for him lol) and batting 500, now of course thats against the CPU but this card is a machine.

Okkkk. Crushing. It. That’s crazy u bat him right after Soto. My lineup is Biggio,Julio,Riley,Soto,Carpenter. I’m about to put Carp 3rd in the lineup and put Riley batting 5th is he doesn’t start heating up.

Full lineup for this POTM run has been

    Jose Miranda
    Juan Soto
    J.t. Realmuto
    Julio Rodriguez
    Matt Carpenter
    Jackie Robinson
    Austin Riley
    Craig Biggio

And it's been one of my favorite teams to use ever. They all hit like crazy.

I hate when there’s one moment that I get hung up on. I had a little trouble on the Trey Mancini moment. I smoked a ball on the very first try and it hit the top of the fence. Then I failed like 10 times after that lol

The TN Seth Beer moment this year was horrible for me. No idea why but I'd say about 30 tries.

Realmuto has been like last years AS version of him he only hits home runs and extra bases which is incredible.

I got off to a slow start with Biggio but he’s hitting everything now. Up to 7 HRs with him now and i love his cards so this one should be the same story.

I loved that Realmuto AsG card last year. I’m going to throw him in thelineup for a while.

Do you remember when the old announcers used to call him “the sweet swinging Matt Carpenter” when he came up to bat? I don’t have this card yet, but love his swing and am excited to get it and use his card.

I have Devers at third as of now and like that card too. I’m thinking of replacing Ortiz and playing Carpenter at 1B.

Edit: I forgot about Riley! I also cannot wait to get Biggio.

Wow. It just happened again. He smoked a double, is standing on second clapping. Runner thrown out at home. Single.

Cost me another try at this moment. Unbelievable.

He is taking second on the throw home. That is a single.

I'm also a fan of this new Matt Carpenter card. I've only used him offline in mini-seasons so far while grinding monthly PXP, so you can take this with a whole box of salt if you'd like, but he's hitting .756 with 18 HR in 43 plate appearances. Even offline I don't typically hit that well. I think he's going to replace Alvarez on my bench of my main squad since he also has additional defensive flexibility in case I get into a bind late in the game.

I still really want to know how people are hitting with Riley. Are you all crushing it with him or is he a bit of a let down?

I’m struggling with him. I can’t hit on HOF and that’s where I’ve been since these cards came out. I’m doing the best with Carpenter so far. Hit two left on left HR in the last ranked game I played. I think he also had a single against Randy the game before, in a game I got 3 hits total lol.

I usually have terrible pack luck. That past couple days have been a surprise with Soto,Stanton and Trout. I’m sure my next chase peck will be probably be a common player. I know that’s not even possible but that’s my usual luck lol

Haha, i'm deffinetly not complaining, my past ballin out of control packs got me Ohtani x2, Hader, and DeGrom so i'll happily take the gold this time. Plus i already have most of the players avalible. Only missing (Ryan, Darvish, Mullins, Baez , Bellinger, Lieter and Stanton)

I don’t know. I’m going to give him more time. It’s probably me not him lol. However, I have noticed that most ppl I play who have him in their lineup, have low averages with him- so could be the swing
