Recently switched from PS4 to PS5 and have noticed a huge difference with the hitting. On the PS5 timing a fastball of any kind was very difficult. Might have 1 out of 5-6 games where my timing was normal.

I switched back to the PS4 and had no problems with timing a fastball. Hitting is a big issue on PS5. Its almost a none issue on the PS4.
    I play on 1ms monitor.
Things that I have done to fix the input lag on PS5:
    1. Wired connection on the controller
    2. Changed to Performance mode.
    3. turned off Bluetooth for the PS5.
    4. Monitor in game mode.

Those that play on PS5, how did you fix the input lag? I gave it 3 weeks and still can't adjust to the input lag. Looking to get some help so I can play on the PS5 like I see many streamers currently.

Seems odd. I got a PS5 during MLB 21 game cycle. I play on a 1080p 70" tv with AWFUL input lag. I never made WS and just having the frame rate better on the PS5, I made WS the first season I tried going 14-1 in RS. The only issue I've seen with the PS5 in game VS the PS4 is that during pinpoint pitching, the controller seems to lose the motion randomly on the pitch release. I don't remember it happening ever on PS4, but it happens at least once, maybe twice a game with the dual sense.

I've been watching a ton of videos and everything is about settings of some kind. I know there is an answer. People play just fine on PS5. I've heard great things with the Xbox series X. If I find an answer I'll post it here.

I played 21 on Xbox one. Before I bought '22, I bought a PS5. '21 played awesome on xbox. I have a lot of lag issues online, now, that I didn't have last year. I have played a total of 10 games on RS and BR since it came out. I am 0-10. It's not worth the headache. I'm not the best, but I do play, what I would call average, in all other modes on All star and hall of fame. I tried a bunch of things that were suggested to do like ISP address and such. Nothing worked for me. Internet is consistent 460 download and 22 upload. I bought the PS5 to better compete in PGA2K21, which I do, but it seems as it was a mistake not to by the new Xbox. I have been hearing the game plays better on it.

Yeah timing hasn't felt right on the PS5. I turned off the 120hz in the PS5 menu but not sure it did anything that isn't just anecdotal. Part of me thinks it could be that I'm playing guys on PS4 or XBox One more often than not and there could be some kind of issue there. But I'll never know.
