You didn't luck into pulling those diamonds. It is a way to get first year players hooked. People that get a lot of diamond pulls tend to be:
Streamers - So the players watching can see the packs are "lit" and go out and by themselves. Also gives the streamers the best chance of being successful.1st time players - To get them hooked. If you have a decent record, let me know how this plays out the next few years.
Bad players - To give them better players to try to help them out.
Now, you could not be in any of these and get diamonds but I think it is really rare. These are all marketing ploys which are intended to increase sales.
You are probably correct. My first thought was wow this is pretty cool. But now, just starting out and trying to advance through playing games having to play against teams that their lineups are entire diamond rated it kinda sucks. I will still continue to play, it just makes it less fun trying to do it the right way no money spent and having to face lineups like that.

No he is not correct, he is full of s@#$, I am not a streamer, a new player or a particularly bad player and I have had about 7 diamond pulls this year. You got lucky, pulled some nice cards to build your line up around. Team affinity cards are the way to go for no money spent, you can earn them by just playing with players from that specific team or doing an MTO run with that specific team, they are highly rated cards and will definitely fill out your line up well.
-
Do the conquest maps (especially the US map) against the CPU to build XP, grind towards Affinity program players, grind stats for program players (Kerry Wood, Curtis Grandson, and your selection from the Evolution program), and grind stats/innings for your created player. Build your team first , online play will always be there. Have fun!

Don't listen to him. He never has anything good to say about the game. He is in a abusive relationship with the game but he can't seem to walk away.
Enjoy your team and have fun with the game. That is what matters the most.

You can be no money spent and still have a really good team just by leveling up. Just be patient and level up at your own speed. It's still early. I don't spend money in this game at all

Why is everything doom and gloom with you?, the guy is excited about his team and enjoying the game, he asked the best way to make stubs and your response was to try and trample on any sort of joy this guy has.
we get it man, you don't like the game because it doesn't cater to you, or because of some grand deep state conspiracy SDS is plotting against you. Keep your negativity to yourself, or better yet just stay off these forums.
Not everything. Just call a spade a spade.
I never said they were against me. Those items I mentioned are marketing ploys. It is exactly what I would do if I wanted to increase pack and stub sales. I am a 2-3 win per loss player and have been since I started playing RS in 17. I know what to expect, that is why I rarely by packs.
I bought a 50 pack bundle when I was undefeated in RS at the time and got zero diamonds. Maybe I should tank RS and get a losing record and buy 50 more? I would say there is a good chance my results would be different. Just a theory based on what I have seen since 17.

You can still have a good team with no money spent. I have a solid team. I also spent many hours doing conquest and showdowns. This is the first year I have bought a 50 pack in 3 years and got nothing from it. I knew that was very possible but wanted to try it anyway. I would say to buy packs if you meet one of those 3 criteria. If you don't meet those criteria, my advice would be to not buy packs and purchase the players you want to purchase. If you enjoy playing the market (which I do not), that is another viable way to get stubs to improve your team.

I said rare if you do not meet those qualifications, I didn't say impossible. Maybe you are an anomaly. Most people that don't meet those qualifications don't have good pack luck and are better to purchase the players with stubs.

Hey, OP, I would recommend ignoring this guy. Everything is a complaint or a conspiracy because he think this game owes him something.
To answer your question, though, the best ways to save up stubs are ignoring packs, playing the game and flipping cards on the market by identifying margins between buy now and sell now prices and trying to get in on that sweet action.

You are telling him to ignore packs and play the market. Isn't that what I said most players should do?

Truthfully, I quit reading your comment after the first sentence because that was stupid enough. You post multiple times every day talking about how bad this game is and that you don’t get rewarded for your input and that SDS was the second gunman on the grassy knoll. Your posts are tired. It’s every day. It’s exhausting. Just warning this guy. He’s new to the game. I’d rather welcome him than allow him to be blindsided by you and the other tin foil hat ball bags that overshadow anyone’s ability to have constructive conversation on these forums because you’re too concerned with how you hit a line drive and a player caught it.
The annoying conspiracy theory mindset you display is only second to the worst part of it, though. The worst part is that about once a week you promise us you’re done with the game...we can all celebrate for a few moments that you’ll finally be gone...but sure enough...two hours later, there you are beating the same drum, rinse and repeat.

Lol good thing I took Gary Sanchez because I thought these cards were for reaching level 40 on the XP reward path but apparently Mondesi is a gateway drug to becoming depressed and out of touch with reality.

Don't listen to Demise, everything is a conspiracy against him, every loss is due to ping, nothing good ever happens to him in the game, if he would have taken the time to look at your post almost every player you have is from an xp reward pack, diamond mondesi is not a card that's available in packs neither is smoltz, Harper would be the only guy you pulled from an actual pack and KK as well maybe Bux if that's the silver if it's the diamond then no, keep leveling up and you'll be able to build your team up more, check out team affinity program for some good diamonds.

This is my first year playing Diamond Dynasty, and I gotta say I'm hooked. I lucked into pulling Diamond's Smoltz, Mondesi, and Harper. I recently got Brian Roberts for leveling up. I've discovered purchasing individual cards so I purchased Chipper 3B and built a pretty decent 'pen. My lineup:
Roberts 2B
Mondesi SS
Harper RF
C. Jones 3B
M. Olson 1B
I. Rodriguez C
Keirmeier LF
Buxton CF
PitcherMy question is what do you think the best way to build up stubs is? I'd like to try and get some rookies, as well as some more diamonds. I just was curious as to some opinions on the best way to go about it.
Thanks.
Welcome to the party, pal!
Man, I know how you feel! DD is addicting! It's so darn fun! This happened to me with MLBTS18. I bought it strictly to play RTTS to create a player and try to get drafted or traded to the Stros - never happened. One day, while just farting around with the game, I was like "What's all this Diamond Dynasty nonsense everybody seems to be talking about?"I then realized what it all entailed and started with buying Equipment for my created player, and asked myself the same question "How do I generate more Stubs without spending any more money than what I put in to buy the game?" So I watched a lot of Koogs' videos on the YouTubes and I've been hooked ever since!
Here are my tips when starting out:
1.) Learn the market. It is the best way to generate Stubs, but it's also super easy to lose them when the margins aren't great and/or you have dudes that just want to watch the world burn and put in idiotic amounts that work to destroy your profit. And don't forget about that 10% tax they do on all sales you make!
2.) Learn Conquest. It took me a while, but once I got it, it opens up a lot of opportunity! The best is the US map because you can repeat it (which does take a while), but that 10 pack reward is always there. Plus, you can grind out TA missions/innings as you work the map.
3.) Collections. My OCD forces me to complete the LS collections first. I always start with my favorite team, first (which are the Stros; yes, they are hated and I get it, but I will always stand by my team #ForTheH). Then start putting in Buy Orders for all the commons for the rest of the teams, then Bronzes, then Silvers, and so forth. I finally finished all Golds yesterday and can now focus on the Diamonds. I'm down to about 15-16 LS Diamonds, and then that Mantle is mine!
4..) Play the game. All that XP adds up and the XP Reward Path is filled with things that will help you on your journey!I hope this helps, man! Enjoy it! Good lucck & Cheers!
-
So I just played another game and won so I leveled up. I opened my pack I got for leveling up and BOOM diamond Anthony Rendon. First game played with him 2 HR. Was going to sell him because I have Chipper at 3B, but now I think I'm gonna keep him. Man I love DD!!!
