Man, I feel like I wasted all the time I invested to become at least a decent hitter since I started playing DD in 2020. Stick skills don’t mean a thing for SDS.

I had 0 strikeouts at that point. None of my good contact would go for a hit. Just lineout after lineout
His first run came off a leadoff double when he swung very late on an inside sinker that he blooped the other way against the shift. The game decides to reward that swing/input while simultaneously screwing me over when I’d swing with good timing and pci placement
He then went up 3-0 off a 2 run shot that was a good swing. But funny how right when he went up 3, I hit a 2 run shot with Brett on a swing where my PCI barely scraped the ball…the game decided the reward that swing?? It felt disgusting
I ended up winning 4-3 in extras but it was the most frustrating and unenjoyable experience. Feels like you’re battling a terribly programmed game as well as your opponent

Exactly. I’ve never seen a game reward a user for doing the wrong thing (bad swing timing/bad pci placement) as much as this years game does.
They’re afraid to have anyone strike out if they’re bad at hitting. Lord forbid anyone try to practice to get better. Let’s just make the H2H gameplay a slot machine so everyone feels like they have a chance and stay invested in the game/spend money
They’ve gone way too far in that direction and now gameplay is as worse as it’s been since 18

I’m 49-5 and have had garbage experiences time and time again in this game when playing H2H. Do I choose to still play the game knowing this? Yeah cause I love baseball
But gameplay this year is just bad, doesn’t matter if you’re great at the game or average, the game plays terribly online

What am I saying is ur prolly got lucky more than often than your opponent as well. A lot of us play a lot of games and very much so we fall on the bad side of thing more than the good side. I understand ur complaining but also realize that the baseball gods are on your side more than not. A lot of us are stuck around the same level because of the constant BS game after game. But gameplay absolutely sucks. I just played a game where I had 25 good contacts and only 4 hits while my opponent had 20 good contacts and 15 of them went for hits and even 2 homers

There is man, this is a videogame. There has to be some type of consistency in what determines the outcomes, players should be rewarded and punished in accordance to their input and it has to go both ways.
I expect consistency, I want to be punished when I don’t do good, just the same way I expect to be rewarded when I do. Baseball is not like soke other sports, so of course I know not every squared up ball will find grass or leave the ballpark, I just want the game to be the same to both players

Totally agree. I’ll be the first to admit that there have been times where I’ve been bailed out by a blooper, crazy foul tip to extend an AB etc.
It goes both ways but there are games where it’s insane how one sided it can be
Regardless, no reason for this much randomness and RNG with exit velos and launch angles

Yeah I’ve gotten lucky, no doubt. But being 49-5 points towards having above average skill. Even with me being able to consistently achieve good input, the game is way too inconsistent and the RNG in this game is rampant
Makes H2H play so frustrating at times but this is the only game us baseball fans have so we’re stuck with it. Works as intended!

I’ve gotten lucky sometimes, I am 100% even tho I can’t remember, I believe I’ve had less than 5 lucky wins and to say 5 maybe is too many.
When I am getting rewarded I barely make it past the 4th inning, so most of my wins are early quits because I’m outplaying my opponentns.

And I completely agree especially when someone uses pinpoint and it doesn’t matter what they control is they can pinpoint every pitch. I also expect for certain pitchers to not be overly opp and play above they rating. This game has so many flaws and there is so many times I lose just because by time inning 5 comes around I’m completely outdone by the lack of consistency. Every year I usually at least hit championship this year I can’t even touch it despite good inputs. The worse part is pitchers with great control and bb/9 are missing terribly and then my opponent with terrible contact gets hits and homers

There is absolutely nothing to complain about when u 45-14
There is man, this is a videogame. There has to be some type of consistency in what determines the outcomes, players should be rewarded and punished in accordance to their input and it has to go both ways.
I expect consistency, I want to be punished when I don’t do good, just the same way I expect to be rewarded when I do. Baseball is not like soke other sports, so of course I know not every squared up ball will find grass or leave the ballpark, I just want the game to be the same to both players
Spot on. Let me lose when I’m playing bad, don’t bail me out. Also let me succeed when I’m playing well, don’t nerf the outcomes of my good input to force a close game.

Man, stick skills do not matter, I’ve been cheated in so many differnet ways in my last 4 or 5 games.
I’m with you. I’m 49-5 in ranked and my last few games on HOF have just been disgusting
Last game my opponent was closing in on his 10th K but was beating me 1-0, and had 5-6 hits to my 2
I had 0 strikeouts at that point. None of my good contact would go for a hit. Just lineout after lineout
His first run came off a leadoff double when he swung very late on an inside sinker that he blooper the other way against the shift. The game decides to reward that swing/input while simultaneously screwing me over when I’d swing with good timing and pci placement

I’m 49-5 and have had garbage experiences time and time again in this game when playing H2H. Do I choose to still play the game knowing this? Yeah cause I love baseball
But gameplay this year is just bad, doesn’t matter if you’re great at the game or average, the game plays terribly online
Can we at least acknowledge both sides though? It doesn't make the game better if it happens to both sides, like OP saying half his losses are probably BS, but surely some wins have to be to though right?
I’ve gotten lucky sometimes, I am 100% even tho I can’t remember, I believe I’ve had less than 5 lucky wins and to say 5 maybe is too many.
When I am getting rewarded I barely make it past the 4th inning, so most of my wins are early quits because I’m outplaying my opponentns.
I don't think you can say with any certainty it's only 5 or less because you are biased towards yourself, which is only natural. Again, that doesn't make the game better or good, but these are the type of messages that make it easy to dismiss claims by just complaining. The ole "It's always when you lose and not when you win lol" comments.

Preach it brother! I actually messaged a guy the other night because I felt bad I won. He clearly hit more solid balls than I did but I still won 1-0. I'm grateful for any win in an event but it's not fun winning like that just like it's not fun losing like that.
