No more moonshot please

An off question, but didn't want to make a new subject. I never really play online, but is worthless to play over wireless and cross-play?
Played my first match of the year. I would have to swing at pitcher motion and would be late to a 80 mph changeup. I'm not a swing at anything person, but it felt like I had to predict the throw and swing or not before the pitch was thrown.
A fly ball hit 10 ft away from an outfielder would always land before I could start motion to it. Not sure if it's crossplay or wifi or that people are just used to freeze frames of the game online as it plays out.
When I finished Brett program I thought I'd try because I'm still about 500k from finishing live and don't wanna thing about how much card flipping that is... but I guess I'll survive offline.
I just like to play with friends on couch play, online works like a slow moving zoetrope.to me.

The only thing I like about mooonshot is I get to play guys I normally don't play with. Just to mess around and see what they're all about. Besides that, gameplay still blows.

I second this! The fun in events in previous years was lineup restriction based on card types and/or teams being used. Seems like they got pretty lazy this year!
-
Yeah needs to stop, personally moving forward all events should switch to 6 inning quick counts and make use of cards that's aren't used, like right now instead of what we have it should be All Star and Breakout series cards on All Star 6 innings quick counts, that's an event

It seems to be one week is moonshot and the next is “any player” “team max…”. Just no creativity whatsoever with events this year. The Switch event last year is what actually drew me to online play and i felt like each week there was a bit of creativity….at least more than this year.
I agree with you completely. There has been no creativity to the events this year. They are completely phoning it in.
Not trying to be negative, but it's hard to avoid this year.
This program pulled me back in after not playing the game for a long time, but otherwise, it's been a pretty awful game for those of us that aren't new to the franchise.
In previous years I've played at least 1,000 RS games a year. This year I'm at 30, and that number won't go up. I'll grind offline stuff, then go back to my switch for games that I enjoy more.
Too bad, events used to be an enjoyable way to play 3 inning games online. Heck, it's not even worth it for stubs. By the end of events, those cards are selling for a few thousand stubs.
Its sad to see this game take a step backwards this year. (In regard to gameplay) All I want is good gameplay which in 2022 is not too much to ask. They just ignore us and make shiny card art to mask the flaws. I may take your approach and play games that are actually fun and not a chore to play. Sad to see my favorite game in this state.

Their stats and research must be showing that the MS events are being played more than the others.

Yup. 2020 was fun as we had constant themed events. Whether that be card type or things like Dead Ball, or short hitters, tall hitters, old hitters, etc. I have no interest playing Moonshot events anymore and it’s a shame as before I used to but it’s been definitely overplayed.

I don’t mind moonshot personally, I think it’s an easy way to parallel position players and offers a casual H2H experience
I also think there’s more Moonshot events this year since they got some negative feedback for the moonshot event(s) being too short last year

Like cool, the ASG was in LA
but please SDS, do not lock us into a stadium ever. Let us choose
Playing in LA blows

Umm yea people dig hitting home runs and it’s an easy way to boost your players averages- why wouldn’t people like it?

Not only have programs been pathetic, and gameplay -- hitting is a [censored] JOKE -- but even the hype streams are pathetic snooze fests. It seems like the team knows what hot trash they're peddling and can't even fake it anymore.
Innovation and creativity? Nope. Just keep expanding player base to MONETIZE, MONETIZE, MONETIZE.
