Talk about frustrating!

Let me start off by saying how intimidating Showdown is to me. I don’t like it. My palms sweat, my heart rate quickens, and my breath shortens. I think they call it a panic attack. Probably because I’ve not been able to get through the first round too many times and lost the entry fee.
Anyway, I don’t think I’m going to be able to finish Sizzlin’ Summer and I figured that I’d at least try the Showdown once. It’s 15k and will help. I get to Valenzuela, with 6 outs left and a man in third. Hoping to tie the game. And then, my internet went out. For the second time today, my internet went out.
Living in the Sierra’s, I’ve come to expect unexpected outages, but come on! Bad timing. I’m trying to get as much game time in before I have to pick up my wife at the airport tonight, and the internet goes out. Not only that, but if I want those Showdown points, I have to start all over.
Talk about frustrating!
I know a long droll post about someone’s personal problems. I figure it can go on file here with all the others.

That sounds pretty serious, if you aren't being sarcastic I would seriously stop playing showdown, your health is more important then some xp.

I agree with Eatyum, besides the 15XP can be made up just playing the game naturally right now thanks to double XP. I would just skip Showdown and play a game against the CPU or try MTO (what i'm doing to get the last 50XP i need to get to 750XP)

Thanks. That’s what I’ve been doing. I’m getting 8-11k per game, so I’ll just keep grinding.

First off, I'm probably old enough to be your father, maybe even grandfather. Second, my mom isn't with us anymore. Third, if anything, it would be my wife's spaghetti and that would never happen...it's too good. And, fourth, that was pretty rude.

As for the showdowns, luckily the only mandatory ones to complete programs are easier. Don't play them. They suck and are designed to drive you nuts. If you get back on tonight, spam Mini Seasons on rookie and do as many program and MS missions as you can. I know you've got the spreadsheets so you can get creative on how you construct your roster for max efficiency. Remember it's double XP. You got this dude. Hope your wife gets home safely.

Thanks! I forgot about Mini Seasons. I have about a third of a season done that I abandoned to do other programs. Hopefully, the internet will be back on.
