Never buying another version of this God's forsaken game again

I seriously dislike "it's a you problem". It's obvious bother OPs experience is legit how the OP experienced it. Why the insults? Stop with the elitism garbage show some [censored] empathy for other players. Maybe post something constructive next time like how the OPs experience isn't uncommon or maybe how to you would make best of a bad situation. Maybe offer advice.
I agree that "it sounds like a you problem" isn't helpful and is just a dig at the original poster but honestly every time I see these posts they seem to be exaggerated beyond belief. The posters are always pros who always seem to have good or better contact, their opponents are always trash who swing at everything and have better luck.
I always assume they are coming to the forum after a bit of bad luck or a bad game and act like that experience always happens. They definitely have some regency bias.
That said, if the OP is not enjoying it then I hope he follows through and never buys it again. But as most of us know, those are almost always empty threats.

didn't read a word...but not playing this game will give you more time for you to...
If you didn't read a single word, how'd you know which condescending gif to use? Must be nice to be psychic. Also, maddeningly unhelpful and a weird flex, but you do you and stay on your knees for SDS.

Sounds like a you problem, I'm not hitting .010 on my 12's, 13's and 14's, so it must be a you problem.
Maybe. I mean, I did specifically ask what atrocity I committed to have the SDS Gods smite me so so I'm pretty sure I admitted it was a me problem. But hey, if you feel better by pointing out that it's a me problem when I said it's a me problem, you go for it.
It sure feels like it when I go to the breakdown at the end of the game, look at good timing swings and see 8 or 9 of those red circles with 12, 13, 14 on them. Then to go on the other end and see 3 or 4 VL 4 green circles.
Now the ones that have a 7 on them, sure that's fine. That's baseball. Whatever. But not in every single [censored] game.

Definitely what happened. Four or five consecutive games of it (plus a little alcohol and a lot of anger...and a couple people messaging me to taunt after the bloop hit winner). Glad to see not everybody in the community is a grade-A jackass.

I'm only commenting on exactly what he said. Is it probably being a bit of a [censored]? Yea, but if he is batting .010 on all 12-14 pci contact, why would I say the experience is uncommon? Because I can basically guarantee you that he's probably the only person batting that low on them. If the problem has to be exaggerated, it isn't that much of a problem. Like I said, yeah my comment is being a [censored], but meh just how I felt last night. Apologies to the op.

Every [censored] game.
Every one.
I throw a 2-2 pitch with 2 outs where 4/5 of the ball is in the strike zone...ball 3.
Next pitch, dude swings Very Early on a pitch away with a guy who has 30 contact, drops the ball for an easy hit into right, game-winning run scores. GGz EZ. Get wrecked.
Meanwhile my Good timing swing with a dude with 110 contact and the ball fully within the inner circle comes back "Okay" and a lazy flout to center.
What is the point of having a PCI and aiming your swing if 99 out of 100 times the game doesn't give a rat's behind and actively punishes you for 12, 13, 14-level contact? Meanwhile Mr. Directional hitting over there pushes the power swing button at any point in time between the start of your windup and the ball being in the catcher's mitt and crushes a 450-foot no-doubt home run with Kyle Higashioka.
Play as the Astros, lose in extras. Play as the Cubs, lose in extras. Mariners? Lose in extras. Pitcher is 95 OVR, give up 8 mistimed hits. 75 OVR (I like Alec Mills, Sue me), strike out 17 and still lose in extras.
I dunno what I did to spur the hatred of the MLB The Show Gods but this'll be the last year I play this game because it literally does not matter what I do.
see ya next year in the spring

It's "God-forsaken," as in "forsaken [i.e., abandoned] by God." No need for the possessive apostrophe.
Your welcome.

Well I have to say I do agree with the OP. I've experienced similar things as well. I gave up a bloop hit to a pitcher down the line and lost 2-1. I pitched well. The other player did too.
But it happens like that in real baseball too. So even though I was pissed, I thought it was a great game and showed me that in many ways, the game is more realistic then I thought.

Bad beats are just a part of online play based on my limited experience. I am probably the worst hitter in the show right now, and I had a game where I had a rare breakout in hitting and was tied in the 10th inning and with a runner on second a routine grounder rolls between my first baseman's legs for a game winning single.
I really don't get too upset about the losses so much as how I lose. For me to actually look like a competent hitter to lose on something like that was pretty frustrating, but I won a game pretty cheaply a couple days later on a Baltimore chop late in the game.
Once I finally figure out what I need to fix offensively I expect to like online play a lot more. I don't hate it, and certainly don't think SDS needs to adjust anything to make my experience better, but I understand the frustrations of others. Eventually OP will face me, wipe the floor with me and probably have a better opinion of this game.

I agree the game does get frustrating andi I do curse at it, but all in all it’s a fun game. And there are some realism to it.
It’s baseball, a game of chance and luck when you think about it. This is my 2nd year playing the show since introduced to Xbox, but a long time player of a baseball video game since way back to ASB baseball.
The only complaint I have is it’s too easy to win (well in franchise mode anyway)). I play on all star hitting and still win 95% of the time. I just can’t figure the sliders out to make it a lot more realistic.
But the fact that people cry about it makes me wonder. All I can say is, and I’ve said it before, welcome to the game of baseball
