What keeps everyone to play this game online?

Only reason I haven’t just called it quits is because it is the only main baseball game out there and I already spent 100 on the digital deluxe so might as well get the most out of it. If this how they game is in intended to play then it’s my last year because it’s not getting any better and hasn’t for awhile. Just wondering what keeps you guys going and staying sane on the game.

Doing the collections no money spent. Finished live series yesterday and I'll be done with Brett at 360k xp on this program.

I’m trying to get a full P5 Rockies TT and chip away at the collections/programs on the side. I use a Rockies TT year round so the parallels help, I use my favorite players, and there’s no pressure to get the best of the best cards.

I just play ranked seasons since there’s nothing like a 9 inning head to head game
Plus it also helps I pulled Acuna and DeGrom so I could try out mainly any card in the game such as Pujols and Delgado

I still enjoy events and BR enough. I haven't really played Ranked more than a few games a season in like 3 years. Tbh if I only played ranked I would probably be in here complaining about the game all the time too

Baseball is my favorite sport, this game is the only option, and I love the competitiveness of H2H play…even though I think this game lacks that more and more each year.
I’m a glutton for punishment so although this game frustrates me at times, more often than not I usually enjoy playing it overall.
I’ll give credit where it’s due, I honestly like the way they are doing overall progression of cards this year. I like not having meta 99s out so early that they make other cards not worth using. Lineup diversity is the best it’s been in a long time and there are cards that I’ve used for extended periods that I would have never used if they released 99s like last year

Man, I said the same thing last night. They have had several years of terrible online gameplay and all we get is a "works as intended." Sad.

Question OP, you seem to imply money is the reason you still play online, yet you don't like it. So how much of making yourself suffer through online will satisfy getting your moneys worth?

I’m doing the same thing with the Orioles. The no pressure part is probably the best lol

This game is terrible.....beyond trash. I play online everyday because I love baseball and I love competing. And actually the game isn't trash. The servers are TRASH.

It’s more or less just getting my moneys worth since like I said it will probably be my last year. So might as well just soak it up with BR and Events since Ranked is just too much man, im undefeated but it isn’t satisfying winning anymore in ranked.

One very simple word... "challenge". Baseball isn't easy, nor is this game if you want to "git gud" as the kids say. Up to you if you want to put in the time and effort, but this is definately not the arcade style game that makes it easy for everyone.

Not sure why I play. Usually play after I'm done with all my life responsibilities so when I sit down I'm barely awake enough to be competent at hitting. Enjoy your freedom young guys.

I already have man, I’m good at the game but it isn’t as equal as it should. When you have games where you have 27 good swings and only 7 are hits I kinda have a problem with. Just isn’t worth raging over being handicapped.
