And how much did you sell him for?
Does it matter? If he honestly got it out of a pack and sold it for whatever the current market rate was then why should he be banned?

It does matter in the sense that it would give an explanation as to why he may have been banned. A million stub sale (or whatever they maxed out at) mixed in with a bunch of clear stub transfers could have resulted in him getting caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I'm not accusing anyone of anything, and I'm not saying it's his fault. It could have been a simple pull and sale while not knowing the average market price. I'm just saying if you're gonna roll around in the mud, you might get dirty. If the devs for this game can't put out a simple patch without including game breaking bugs, then you shouldn't be shocked it they accidently ban a few relatively innocent people as they play damage control.

I got banned for a year for a first time offense as well. Been playing this game since 2006. I think removing cards from my DD deck along with the 1 day ban wouldve sufficed. But a year?! Can't play anything online. It seems rather excessive if you ask me and I didn't do anything offensive etc. Market manipulation? Seems like there are many others who have done worse market manipulation and seemed to not even get a slap on the wrist.
What was your "market manipulation"? I have to assume it was pretty extreme if you were banned for a year.
Literally everyone was banned for a year. It started at 24 hours and then after that time, it became a full year.

I’m confused, and out of the loop. How is the market being manipulated? I do think it IS being manipulated but I want to understand how.

People were buying stubs for 3rd party sites amd huge discounts for one. Or illegally sharing stuns. I have no clue how they do it though. I'm sure someone who didn't sleep through Econ can explain.
